    Hell yeah happy i found this pretty sure this is were mine is leaking from. I was pretty intimidated by all the hoses and wires but your video made quick sense of that for me. Was worried i was gonna have to take it to a shop but after i feel very confident i can do it myself. Just missing a single tool to finish. Got it over half way done though.

    What are the two sensors that sit on top? There was a redish brown one and a black one, you mentioned something about not breaking them and you were having a hard time with the red one in the video. Mine snapped off and i have no idea what its even called to replace it

      @@RBTheMechanic Thank you. Actually, replacement of the block (engine coolant water outlet) is done. But i noticed that when i turned on the engine in the morning, the temperature reading goes directly at the middle which is unusual as it suppose to rise as the engine rise until it reaches the mid part (normal temperature), which roughly take around 4 to 5 mins once the engine is started from cool condition.
      Thank you. I really appreciate your swift responses.

    That’s exactly where I see steam and wetness coming from in my Mazda 3 it’s a 2009. My coolant reservoir is low I put coolant in the car drive and it smokes and it’s low on fluid. Also my heat goes in and out it gets hot then blows out cold air. I put my car in the shop yesterday.

    I had a leak from here for over four years couldn't find it.. Finally it's starting to leak a little more , i still didn't fix it.. i'm gonna pressure tested in a couple days to make sure it's that the part .. Actually I'm buying the gasket .. If the housing is not cracked I'm just replacing the gasket for $3.50 They sell it But I'll buy the whole thing too separately for $75.. Because I don't feel like running to the store because I had no way to get there so I'll get everything before and whatever I don't use gets returned... The problem is I want to replace the hoses going to the heater core and I don't know the size of the hose .. Which is a pain I might just run to the junkyard and get the same hose and cut it so I could bring that sample to the parts store to get 2 new hoses .. right now my car is running at a steady 208° At Idol for couple hours . I just topped off with distilled ,, I'll flush the whole system when I'm done , I'm just putting it off because it's 115° out tomorrow And of course I'll end up doing it in a parking lot somewhere because I don't have a place of my own... Anyone have any idea of the proper pressure test pressure I should shot for,, When I do the pressure test for this particular vehicle mines a 2013 basically the same car ,, I would think a pick would be the easiest thing to use to remove that hose that you were having a problem with ,, Can you take the piggy stick it in the hose and go around it to move it off.. Anyway this should be fun definitely not looking forward to it... I'm going to put some thermal protection because there's a exhaust manifold right below those two hoses that go to the heater core I'm gonna have them wrapped in fiberglass sleeves to protect the hoses

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ummm I’m not sure u want to just replace the gasket I would replace the whole thing it get brittle also the sensor since ur in there and then it should last u years to come

    • @Pinkielover
      @Pinkielover 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You would think it would last year's.. I replace the whole housing.
      Eight months later the housing was broken again.. Good thing autozone warranties that part for life.. I ended up doing it at autozone. This was in april sometime... Right now i'm dealing with an open thermostat. Car will not go over 130 degrees. unless I sit and idle.. Then I can get up to like 150. When that happens. I get a small weep From near the water pump area ... If it's cooler I don't get a leak. It's only if I sit and idel.. Pretty funny.. But I have a thermostat on order.
      In two days I get it... I already have the water pump ready to go. Just have to take the power steering pump out.
      shouldn't be too hard... Thank god it's cold out..lol
