It's nice to see a Black Knight. Like others, I remember them well. You found them everywhere once upon a time. My wife is a bit younger than I and doesn't remember it. But she's fond of Black Knight 2000.
For some years now I've sometimes pondered just what "first" Black Knight achieved. I feel pretty sure I agree that it was multi-ball and ramps. At times I've wondered if it was the first successful 3 ball table. I doubt it, though. I think those came a few years earlier. I've also wondered if it was the first successful 50 center. But I kinda think not. I think that was Gottliebs "Black Hole".
I've missed several chapters of Pinball Shenanigans. Mostly because my you tube feed keeps leading me off in other directions. But this video popped up today. And I said, "Black Knight? Can't miss that!"
TH-cam led me back here? Well, that's kinda cool.

Thanks for chiming in! You were once lost but now you are found :) Fun fact...Black Knight was the first game ever to employ faceted inserts!

Good pick-up. Looks like an easy project for you Mike. Get Kevin to make it like new and donate it to his arcade!!

Interesting project. Played Black Knight many times, back in the day. Certainly, the first game with multi-ball and I think, ramps.

That is what the guy selling it said. Pretty epic Steve Ritchie title.

Wow that is amazing! The hardtop discovery was a bonus but they never sanded down the old inserts but oh well!

Ever hear of the Time Travel Warehouse in Canada? In the early 2000's they had a bunch of Black Knights that were still in their original boxes, and several other Williams pins and vids still in the original boxes. Several years ago I went to check out a Firepower for sale a few miles from me, and under a moving blanket sat one of those TTW Black Knights. No longer in the original box, but still in amazing condition, and the owner of the house didn't even know that it was there (long story). I passed on the Firepower but brought home the Black Knight, and picked up another player game a few months ago as the first one is too nice to play.

…I hope you’re gonna continue with this game. It was huge in its day.

Awesome pickup! I've got a lead on 3 games I have to check out this weekend .. Had a buddy that saw them for sale a couple of weeks ago and told me about them gotta go Saturday and hope they are still there. They are only open on Saturdays so theres a good chance they are! It has been fun to speculate and wonder what they could or could not be. He couldn't tell me anything but there were 3 pinball machines for sale for cheap! So fingers crossed they are something with flippers and not bingo machines!😅😂

Oh that is exciting. Would be cool to se a video of the action as you see them! I once had a deal for a room full of bingo machines and I ended up passing!

Be extra careful with the backglass, if it was made by the same guy who made mine in the late 90s, it's made with tempered glass and it shattered under it's own weight when I was setting it down last month.

Ouch that hurts! Good tip thanks! I'm guessing mine is a CPR backglass but not sure!

I’m picking one up tomorrow…any advice on how to transport it? What do I need to take the legs off? I’m not knowledgeable or familiar with pinball machines so I’m anxious to take it apart. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay. I could give you a full explanation but there are probably a ton of good TH-cam videos showing you exactly how to do what you need to do! That will probably be easier but hopefully you had success picking it up already!
