Gotta disagree hard, I respect the opinion but I feel it’s a superb film overall. Fantastic score, great songs, amazing story and definitely a best picture contender as far as a nomination goes.
Based on the reactions from TIFF, I do think this is the front runner for Best Animated Film. As much as I thought Inside Out 2 was great, the only sequels that won are Toy Story 3 & 4 which is why I’m not sure if it will win. How To Train Your Dragon 2 and Across the SpiderVerse were close to winning. If it wins it could be DreamWorks third win since Shrek and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. I bet Puss In Boots 2 was the runner-up after Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio swept that category.
Sequels always lose with the exception being Toy Story, Incredibles 2 lost, Across the Spiderverse lost, Kung Fu Panda 2 lost. Wild Robot is the new front runner imo.
I also kinda agree, plus DreamWorks hasn't won the award for a very long time, so they'll consider that as well, similar thing that happened last year with Miyazaki. In addition, i dont think wild robot will over perform inside out2 in theatres, so academy will think that box office glow is the award for pixar this time around, which is also a similar situation that occurred last year when boy n heron won over spiderverse
@@gabrielcastaneda9700 memoir of a snail is my most anticipated animated film of the year and I’m sure I’ll love it more than Wild Robot but I’m being realistic when it comes to my expectations of the Oscars, Big Hero 6 won over Tales of Princess Kaguya, if Flow or Memoir is too weird they’ll just go with the safe choice.
It eill be ironic if disney loses to third consecutive year from other studios it beat, netflix( they lost for klaus/gain win for pinocchi),studios ghibli( they lost for wind rises, tale of princess kaguya and etc../gain win for boy and the heron) and now dreamworks( almost everything they lost/gain win for wild robot)
I saw this movie and i hope and hope that it'll do well at the box office; it is such a great family movie with a story that checks all the boxes and easy to understand. the animation is amazing to look at.
This is going to get so annoying when it starts dominating awards groups for animation, abd people use this to feel smug about a Pixar movie losing, especially one that became the top animated earner of all time.
Idk if this helps the narrative in score or not but Kris Bowers just won an Oscar last year in Doc Short. Is it time for him to get a real score nomination?
I hope its gonna be a strong race in animation category at the upcoming oscars) PS the boys showing love to the cat is so amusing to see, so cute☺️😌 Also, Cole's t-shirt! Its popping
This was ok, but the message must have been lost on me because it was not the feel good, cry/laugher of a movie at least personally it was sold as. Parts of it were, but I did not like the ending and was disappointed when comparing it to the hype. I do not know what to root for in animated feature as I did not love Inside Out 2 either. Maybe Memoir of a snail? I know Transformers One will not win, but I liked that one the most so far.
Your reviews on animated films are too cynical... Kiss the Sky is such a beautiful song and the lyrics is poetic, nothing like the thing you mentioned, yes, it is inspirational, but very well done.
based on what i'm hearing, if this got nominated over spiderverse last year, that would border on being insulting that's super hyperbolic, but across the spiderverse is an all time best animated film imo (better than into if you ask me), and i think that that's the bar for an animated best picture nominee, alongside beauty and the beast, up, and toy story 3
@@BROJANGSTER hey it's just a lineup of 10 movies, changes year to year. The quality of those 10 movies is very fluid over time, so it wouldn't necessarily mean they like Wild Robot more, I mean. . . Across SpiderVerse didn't win Animated even, so if I follow your logic any movie that wins that category even you'll be mad at lol. All great movies, but yeah animation deserves a bit more respect than just one category. No Best Score for SpiderVerse or Boy & Heron last year really upset me.
@@quentintickler4615 yeah, i understand how quantity and quality of films and competition changes year to year. i just wanted another opportunity to vent about spiderverse fingers crossed for beyond (even if it probably won’t happen)🤞🤞
It’s sad that Dreamworks is stopping in-house animation after this film
no way
Wait really? Why and how will they continue moving forward?
@@thecluckster3908They'll do out-house production for now on

Appreciate the honest reviews.
I do think it looks great and Chris Sanders has made, as you mentioned, two 10/10 animated films for me in the past.

My favorite videos are the one where the cat shows up. What a sweetie!
I seen.the movie and had tears come out of my eyes 10 out of 10

Focus on the good things in life, don’t be pointless.
Weirdest complaint I've seen lmao
A 6.5/10 is wild 😭😂 what the hell was he talking about
He’s a contrarian
Its a freaking goose. Not a duck
My little brother loves the books, so we’re both hyped to see it.
Its insanely good 👍 take more people to see it!

Best movie of the year.
According to Award Expert, The Wild Robot is getting close to beating Inside Out 2 for potentially Best Animated Feature
CAT!
deserves his/her own social media account.
Love the conflicting opinions here. Really brings out some great discourse
I was inspired by the brothers singing about spreading wings and flying. I need to hear more. LOL
They better hit the recording studio asap!!! It's gonna be a massive hit!!! Across the board!
U guys didnt talk about the voice acting from lupita? ur reviews are becoming a bit disappointing every video
She is great... i really like her voice 👍
I think this might get an oscar
The second film of 2024 in which Lupita Nyong'o plays a character accompanied by an animal. I liked the first.
What's the name of the kitty?
Tess, if im not mistaken
@@elijah0208 aww that's a cute name.

Nailed it. I thought the movie was merely ok and nothing more.
Well it's sth that is also marketed to kids so obviously the message has to be a bit basic.

the story is super basic and didnt really hit for me. this ones really overrated imo
hi is there any talking ? cause we watch robot dreams and there was no talking
Based on the second trailer, there is talking
There is, and the cast is top-notch. Definitely watch it in theather 👍
Hi all I watch it with my family and this movie made me cry. Amazing brilliant in my opinion movie of the year
@melbourneausttours i just watched it too, and it's really moving yet filled with good moments too
Soul’s score was nowhere near this one
I just want this to be nominated for Best Picture and have a chance to win because I want Animation to win Best Picture.
Hey, don't we all. Would be crazy to get one nominated again, but I don't see one ever winning unless there's a really strange year.

Keep dreaming
The writting is not as good, but the directing is so good that it makes the writting misses be easily overlooked.
The writing is perfect
Looks super duper
Very demure
The wild robot is now the front runner in animated feature, maybe. Inside out 2 is a better movie though.
Have you even seen the film yet?
wtf is this review
