Just came across your channel, I’m a mech eng student in my final year, but all my work experience has been in controls. So I’m really enjoying your videos and its been inspiring.

Ha no way, thanks bro! I'm sure you know but controls is fascinating. I'm loving it. Currently grinding away to try learn it all but I can't wait to start sharing a lot more! I'm surprised you've been able to do the controls side of things as a mech student, even the most experienced mech engineers at my place are repulsed by any electric/controls talk.

No problem at all, I enjoyed them, wish I could have done a lot more

Hey man, just came across your channel. This PLC project videos are great. Keep up the good work. I’m a Mech E student and I remember the first time I was give a PLC. It was definitely intimidating. Keep up the great work and thank you for helping us learn with you. 💪🏻

if you need more inputs or outputs just by an industrial grade multiplexer ic which support higher voltages .

Hopefully it's easy to do lol multiplexing is complicated stuff. Also not that it matters to me in this project but I'm guessing multiplexing effects scan times? I'll defo look into it, as I was considering selling the 1211 and getting a 1212

@@HamedAdefuwa Not too complicated . I dont know that plc but mostly enough two pins to have 4 input or output pins. When you set the control pins on the multiplexer good idea to include some delay lets say 10ms and you could read the multiplexer input with the plc

@@HamedAdefuwa You even cascade them to get more input or output pins with minimum speed loss. Still easy to do.

@@HamedAdefuwa plus you will need darlington transistor array to drive the coil ,beacause the multiplexers has not enough power to do that.
