It's not necessarily that she has to set her standards to a man who is also overweight, but rather that she has to set her standards to the "whatever is left" category.
Basically, most men, even overweight men, don't want an overweight woman, therefore an overweight woman must necessarily set her standards not for most men, but rather for whatever is left after most men are eliminated.
The same is true for overweight men, or any man/woman with an unattractive physical feature. You get what you can, not what you want.

@@oreowithurea5018 the amount of cases is irrelevant. People with thyroid issues 70 years ago weren’t obese. People with thyroid issues today in impoverished countries aren’t obese. Having a thyroid issue can hamper your metabolism to the tune of about 200 calories a day. All that means is your body requires 200 less calories a day to function. Damn I’m 38 years old. My metabolism has probably reduced by over a thousand calories a day from when I was in my early 20’s but I’m not obese. I just eat what I need.

Though eating only 200 calories a day is not feesable anyways. I do realise weight gain is mostly calories in and out but still our bodies are complex biological system and not a bomb calorimeter. I Think if you have abundance of food and suffering from thyroid issues, it's easier to get obese or overweight. This shouldn't be overlooked.

    • @SonnyK248

@@oreowithurea5018 I said eating 200 "less calories" which is very feesable. No one with thyroid issues has a BML of 200 🤦‍♂It's probably going to be in the 1600-2000 range when you're young and drop as you get older just like everyone else on the planet's will drop as they get older, thyroid or not. Like I said before I cant eat what I ate ten years ago. Most people notice throughout their life that what they could eat before isn't possible today without gaining weight so they scale it down or do more exercise. But other people don't do this. They continue to eat the same if not more. And all weight gain is calories in calories out. Fat cells are the food you ate. Every human being has a number and if they stay below that number it's impossible to gain weight and that number isn't as low as you think it is. If you go over that number your body stores the food it didn't need as fat and that is literally the only way you can get fat. And if you have an abundance of food period you're going to gain weight. Obesity is an addiction plain and simple. And addicts lie and make excuses whether it's heroin or pizza.

I saw a documentary on TV where this researcher, while in India, noticed that all the chickens there are fat.
He was curious, so he brought some tissue back to study. He found that the tissue had some strange antibodies.
He got some chickens and fed the tissue to them. Those chickens got fat.
So he did a further study. He got a large number of normal sized people and obese people.
In the the normal sized people he did not find the antibodies. In the obese people many of them had the antibodies.
He surmised that a significant amount of obesity may be viral.
Is obesity caused by a virus?
Ad-5 and Ad-37 have been shown to cause obesity in animals. Ad-36 has been studied the most and is the only human adenovirus to date that has been linked with human obesity. Ad-36 causes obesity in chickens, mice, rats, and monkeys and was present in 30% of obese humans and 11% of nonobese humans.

They might cause metabolism problem, which then linked to overweight, but NO NO NO, you still won;t be fat out of thin air. Ok, might be more difficult for them to be trim, but other people have various degree of difficulty as well. On the other hand, it's different story for emaciated people who have condition that prevent them from gaining weight, in this case, indeed, it can be impossible no matter how much they eat.

I have had two family members who suffered kidney failure as a complication of Type 2 diabetes. Because of that I got
myself educated on the disease and, the very closely related topic of obesity. Extra weight is a primary cause of
insulin resistance which is the essence of diabetes. Diabetes is a miserable disease which I would not wish on
anybody. Obesity is objective and it can be shown by high blood pressure, high blood sugar, extra degradation and aging of joints. Diabetes contributes to heart disease and stroke, and lately, has been shown to contribute to memory loss and
    elderly dementia.
Just as I would not recommend that man marry a smoker. I would not recommend that a man marry a heavy woman.
A heavy mother is more likely to raise heavy children and is less fertile. No need to sign on for that, even
if the woman manages to retain some feminine appeal.

I mean the 3-5 gallon ones. They are heavy when filled with water. Yet, I am not against women being a little bit oversize as long as they are keeping their health. Oversize and overweight can be fixed and that's on you, not anyone else or the society. For example, I had a friend who was more oversized than me and after a few years, he was skinny to point I didn't recognized him. My friend can change his body size so other oversize people (both genders) can as well. Just have to stop being lazy, eat right, and move your behind. If there's a will, then there's a way.
