@Tou Yang But Stamp has better striking and has better grappling than Jing Nan. Plus Stamp also hits fairly hard and her takedown defense is also top. And the height on Angela means nothing the taller the tree the harder it falls. I don’t bet on fights but I predict Stamp wins and if Angela wins it is what it is
I respect both ladies. But for the event I'm rooting for Stamp Fairtex. She is basically the underdog in this fight, and I always root for the underdog. Stamp Fairtex has up her fight game within two years, while Angela Lee has been gone, especially grappling.

Just want to add, what a great night of fights! Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex both left it all in the cage. As fiercely as they competed they showed nothing but class and respect to each other before, during and after the fight.

@@teedtad2534 It *could* be a problem. It could also be an advantage. At Lee's age there is no reason to think she has lost any physical abilities. Two years off with the peanut gallery questioning you every day can be quite a motivator. We shall see. Lee is 25 Pacquiao was in his 40s and fighting bigger fighters.

They had the tools but their body quit in them .. amazing how Pacquiao won at 40 age after 20 years of boxing! He was not actually a welterweight yet he did the impossible! @@teedtad2534 No doubt some of it is in the mind but a lot of it is in the body. I have been a boxing fan since the late 60s. I followed Muhammad Ali's career from the begining of his original comeback. He aged more from his wars with Joe Frazier and Ken Norton than from the years. You could see the toll it took on him after each epic battle. I don't think it's an issue for Angela Lee. Did you see the face off earlier? She looks like she's in the best shape of her life. She also looked A LOT bigger than Stamp. The layoff could have wrecked on her as a fighter. It does happen. I just don't think it's likely at her age and with her apparent mind set. Clearly she is physically in great shape.

That fight pretty much stayed on the ground and Stamp tapped before the 2nd round even ended.
@@mdlfngr9262 I see. Stamp takes time to set up her kicks from outside. Muay thai relies heavily on kicks. Lee closes the distance off before stamp can set up a kick.
Then it's just a wrestling match.
The problem with having a big disadvantage on the ground is it limits your kicks to below the knee
Stamp got dismantled. One solid punch that could have shifted the fight. But Angela still took her down in the first round and controlled her. Once Stamp saw that any kick she threw was going to be turned into a submission, she could not commit. And Angela octopuss'd her. On the ground, Stamp was basically mauled from position to position. I think she was glad to finally be submitted with a rear naked choke.

I am not seeing Angela taking the belt, 2 yrs away from the game is a long time .. in addition, undergoing a child birth totally changes one's physique especially in conditioning! In the meantime, Stamp, has been improving her MMA games these 2 yrs from an elite striker to a complete fighter .. her last fight with Ritu really exemplify how good she is both on take-down defends and on the ground! Hence, both in striking and the ground game, I don't see Angela has any edge .. unless there is a major setup that night (anyway, it is MMA, anything can happens)!
Taking the belt? It's already hers ... has been. They did not strip her of the title cause of pregnancy .. she is still the champ. Angela has a huge advantage on the ground and Stamp has a clear advantage in the standup. Stamp's clearest path to victory is to have good takedown defense and win with her hands. Angela has a bad habit of not tucking her chin and leaving it up. The game has evolved in the last 2 years.. the better hands are winning .. simply because good takedown defense is easily attainable for just about anyone. Stamp has as good a shot as anyone. 2 years off leaves a lot of questions.. has she evolved with the game and got better on her feet? if she hasn't Stamp will make her wish she did. Still it's a toss-up Angela is like an Anaconda on the mat .. should be a great fight.. enjoy!
@@BillnYou1 Stamp Fairtex has been taken to the ground in most of her MMA fights. Angela Lee has never failed to take an opponent to the ground when that was her strategy. I really don't agree that the game has evolved in the last two years though. Chuck Liddell was playing the take down defense first/counter punch standup strategy 20 years ago. I can't say that I have seen much in the way of new techniques since he first employed that strategy. Certainly no new techniques for take down defense being used by Stamp Fairtex. Sprawls, whizzers and other very basic techniques are all I have seen from her so far. Angela Lee does have a bad habbit of exposing her chin. That is one of her two big weaknesses. But Stamp Fairtex, while a good accurate puncher is simply not a powerful puncher. She has zero KOs in standup punching in her entire career in One Championship in MMA, Muy Thai or Kick Boxing. Zero. And that's against mostly vastly inferior competition. Of course Angelea Lee's other weakness is cardio and she has had to pace herself in 5 round fights. But I really don't see Stamp going 5 rounds and never getting into a grappling situation that is technically over her head and making a basic mistake giving up a submission. The only way she beats Angela Lee is if Lee is simply nowhere near the fighter she used to be.
@@scottwheeler2679 Hey Scott, I like your opinion on all of this, as far as evolved without going into lengthy discourse, more simply put .. fighters today have to be good at both .. more than ever before if they want to be a Champion. You can no longer be a just a great grappler or a great striker. To be at the top now you have to be at the top on both. The way the sweet science of boxing is coming into the forefront of the standup is bringing the hands game to new levels in MMA. Basically things every fighter should know.. basic discipline .. elbows in .. body rotation .. slipping pinches .. moving in and out.. lateral movement.. not letting the opponent set up to throw power shots .. simply because you aren't there .. all that is really coming alive in MMA now. BJJ dominated the game for a long time now the other influences of Muy Thai.. Kickboxing and the sweet science of Boxing have come to the forefront and brought us better all around fighters.. so much for not going into a lengthy discourse lol.. Anyway bro .. hope all is well were you at and as far as who I want to win this fight that is easy Been a fan of Angela since the start .. your opinion gave me a bit more confidence she will get it done.. I'm from Hawaii. With all things considered, I have a feeling stamp will win in an early round or even the first. But Angela has fought opponents like stamp and pulled it off by smothering and grappling which is her game. "To beat a fighter u must box them, to beat a boxer u must fight them" All in all 2 Great Female warriors. I'll be happy with either being champion.

I'm sorry but i used to be a fan of Angela until the attitude changed. And you can't compare your privileged life to another individual who didn't have luxuries like yourself. This is why, i believe that Stamp will win. You say that the both of you have been training since you were kids. But the lifestyles are totally different.. privileged to less fortunate. A lot of us can relate to Stamp's life.
The good thing about martial arts, going to the gym, getting fit or better in anything, is, that you cant "buy" it like a car. You have to do it on your own and put the effort in. Even an expensive personal trainer / equipment or optimal nutrition cant replace your effort. So martial arts is kinda fair, but I hope Stamp will do it ;)

This fight will hing on if Angela can manage to take Stamp to the ground and hold her there for a submission. Stamp is a fantastic fighter whos had 2 yrs to get much better as well giving her an advantage. Lee I dont think has enough time in training and may not have gotten back to peak performance. Having a child and being a mother has definitely changed her training and focus away from being in an elite championship form and condition. Love both fighters and hope to see an epic match w/ Lee retaining her belt for a rematch.

Stamp has a decent fight game, but Lee's ground game is too much for people like Stamp, with limited ground game. If your ground game is not your main weapon, you at least need to know how to avoid and escape! She had Lee's weak spot, but could not finish.
