I've been playing RE Games since 1997 and I've gotta say, this is probably my favourite track outta the entire franchise. It's dark, menacing, memorable and makes you wanna switch on the game just so you can hear it.
Is meant to be oppressive: Even though Umbrella is a corporation, it behaves more like a cult: "Obedience breeds Discipline. Discipline breeds Unity. Unity breeds Power. Power is Life." In other words, they believe there is no good and evil, only power and opportunity.
This song is a perfect homage to the original PlayStation trilogy. It’s a wonderful piece of music. It makes you wonder what lies down those long forgotten halls. And if you’ll make it through the night...
This is the first resident evil I've ever owned and played (well, it was my big brother who played it). This track is engraved on the back of my head: the looping rumble behind the music. Man, we wouldn't play this game after dark.
Attention ! This is Dr. Marcus. Please be silent, as we reflect upon our company motto: Obedience breeds Discipline, Discipline breeds Unity, Unity breeds Power, Power is Life !
Umbrella is a corporation, but it operates more like a cult. Umbrella itself is the stuff of nightmares, because their scientists and leaders are a bunch of sociopaths with a disturbing lack of ethics and overall callousness: Ozwell E. Spencer was a sociopath with delusions of godhood, James Marcus was a mad scientist with a ruthless penchant for using humans as test subjects....
I had very mixed feelings about this game until I sat down one day and powered through it. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed it a lot, but I only ever played it a handful of times after. This game has become to me what I wanted for a long time. A RE game that I truly enjoy, but "forgot" much of it's content. I look forward to the next time I get to play it. I think I'll be in for a nice treat.
Love this theme. It’s ominous and dark, but atmospheric and relaxing at the same time. RE0 had a lot of old school outdated puzzles, but if you’re gonna rehash the past, this is how you do it.
UGH this brings back memories of walking back and forth, room to room, so I can drop things and pick them up to keep them organized. One playthrough was enough for me. Nice music and visuals though.
Heh heh, REmimds me when I was in 8th grade and I forged my mother's signature on my report card so my parents wouldn't ground me because of my low grade, but I didn't think my plan all the way through. My history teacher emailed my parents about my D- in history. I was totally unaware at the time of my parents discovering my low grade. So my father acted like he didn't know of my grade and drove me to school. I arrive on school grounds getting to enjoy my day until I reached P.E. Once I entered into the locker rooms my coach told me to head too the main office. Right then and there I was pooping bricks. As soon as I opened the main office door, I figured they knew of my treason. On that very day I was humiliated and grounded from playing awesome games like resident evil...
I can imagine this song playing as house breakers enter are home and its pitch black in the entire house ha ha not only freak them out but they might have a very deadly experience waiting for them in the dark BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Sorry for the late reply, but I think the negativity from this game stems from the clunky inventory and partner mechanics of the game. The setting and story is fine, but the bad mechanics ruin the game because you have to deal with them through your entire playthrough. Yes, some people like RE6 better than RE0 and thats mostly because RE6 is actually fun and playable even if the story was crappy.
@@staremind4 Personally my favourite resident evil is RE0, and I'm a true fan of this series, I never understood how people could hate so much this game because of this little problem... I guess we are all different

It makes me want to turn it off while I'm playing it, out of too much fear.
I think this track and Nothing more to do Here from the STARS office in Resident Evil 2 are the best tracks in the franchise, exactly as you described
Agreed. Also 'Macabre Hallway' from the remake.
❤👏👏👏
This theme really makes the training facility feel very oppressive.
do you like green snakes?...

The best mansion theme in RE series!
No. RE1 remake is the best.
Re1 have everything. But this theme is really OP. Is the best
this is the first song that comes to my mind

remember this dark, dank, ominous, musty theme...sums up the earlier games perfectly

@@AM-tl7sqI will always go back to playing the classics. The atmosphere they were able to achieve is unmatched to this day.
After the Spencer Mansion, the Training Facility in Re0 is probably my favorite mansion level, or it is tied with the Police Station from Re2.
I agree it was well designed the ambience was foreboding
Maybe they did a remake like they did with RE2. RE0 and RE1 in one game. With the option of the original sounds as in the remake of 2
Alexia's mansión is friking creepy to (RE Code V)
This is the pinnacle of Resident Evil in my eyes. Never forget July 23rd, 1998.
The pinnacle is re 7 and re 2 remake. soon re village.
@@casdomdomcas5214 no lol

Love this game. Just mastered RE0 on hard mode (all unlockables). Now I'm gonna dominate RE1.
Dnt
Did you do it?
Other than Resident evil 2 save room and Res 3 … this one is legit, haunting … that last breath …
This and the Underground Laboratory from RE2 original are the most terrifying themes in the series IMO
Just played the original version on my wii.. this game is AWESOME!

Who remembers when re0 was new?
You're asking to remember when RE0 was new? lol I can't even remember when ps4 was launched

This music makes me so anxious. I haven't played RE0 in years and just got back to the training facility and I'm already on edge haha.
Reminds me of Return to castle Wolfenstein - catacombs level. Very atmospheric and psychological, comes into your nerves...
