@@theshirazi4439 The only actress in a show like this that could do what Lauren does with her eyes was Erica Durance in Smallville. They both say volumes with just a look. I've never really seen actresses on TV who could do that like them. Erica was years ago so Lauren should have been given the Emmy nod it's criminal that she didn't.
The "he got tired" joke is probably my favorite of the series 😂 Also, that scene by the end with Chloe and Amenadiel is also one of my favorites. Short but very emotional and meaningful.
This is one of the BEST episodes of the whole series. The bits of puns and comic relief, Chloe and Lucifer clinging to one another, Eve being just adorable overall, it was great. Chloe redeemed herself in my eyes, both with trying to save Lucifer (had the bomb gone off, they would have both died, but it was still her most basic instinct, shielding him) and later giving up on Lucifer just for him to be happy.... I just love this episode soooo much.
I love the scene near the medical car. On my opinion it shows that feelings between Chloe and Lucifer are not gone, even he is with someone else. And OMG Chloe and Amenadiel talking was so sweet 🥰. When he said that her dad is proud of her and later when she realized that Amenadiel saw him in Heaven... I love her reaction so much 😱🥰
"I think she might be good for him" Chloe giving up hope for her and Lucifer cause she thinks Eve is better for him MADE ME SOB. I watched this so many times already but this episode/ whole season still pains me every rewatch.
I felt the exact same way with regards to Cain/Pierce vs Eve. I was never really a fan of Cain, and I basically didn't want him around regardless of whether he was with Chloe or not. With Eve I kind of liked her from the start and didn't mind her being around, I jut didn't want her with Lucifer as I love Deckerstar too much... I didn't even hate Eve while she was with Lucifer though, which says a lot. The actress does a great job at making Eve incredibly likeable and sweet. Not that Tom Welling didn't do a good job with Cain, it was just not a character I thin we were ever really supposed to like, so it was a very different situation.
Thanks for the incredible effort to get Lucifer reaction up, I know you said you were having some problems with it, we love your wonderful face for not quitting on us. Keep the videos coming please and thank you. I think Aimee Garcia really made this episode for me, as much as the Decker, Lucifer, Eve drama is nice, I find Ella hilarious and she always comes off so innocent so her reaction to being high was pretty funny and the new dynamic duo with her and Eve this episode was great.
I always felt that Eve knows a lot more than she let others believe, and she appears to act according to who the person in front of her is. Eve is like if Candy has thousands of years of practice to become the best popular girl ever.
I see more like she was made this way, almost her super power, she was made by god to be perfectly likeable and dedicated to however is with her, because she is supposed to be the perfect wife. its pretty obvious later on when [/spoilers] Luci tries to push her away by acting like an asshole, but she just adapt to everything he does to start enjoying it with him [/spoilers]
@@danilooliveira6580 So in a way Eve is like an anti-demon. A demon is created to cause pain and doesn't mind the pain, while Eve was created to please others but doesn't actually feel happy for herself.
Right, so now you know, he was the temptation of Eve, with the apple, as always love your reactions, keep watching because the mystery unfolds. As always a cheeky thumbs up for you 👍👍👍👍❤️👍
Yea it's normal that you don't hate Eve even though she is kinda ruining Deckerstar, she is too innocent and caring for Lucifer to hate her. The fact that even though Chloe loves Lucifer and want's to be together with him, she is willing to sacrifise her happines for Lucifer to be happy because that's what is important for her, it is at the same time sweet and sad.. We can only hope that Lucifer won't be changed into evil as Amenadiel said because of Eve.. Also there is always hope that somehow Lucifer will decide that Eve isn't meant for him and he should be with Chloe, so hold your fingers crossed.
Well, Amenadiel would make a good politician or a salesman, basically telling people what they want to hear. You are correct, he did withhold his reservations about Eve and her influence on Lucifer. You'll see more of what I'm describing in Season 5 ... (No spoilers, but watch for it in episodes 5 and 15.) It is interesting how mentioning her father affects Chloe. Lucifer telling Chloe how her father would be proud of her led to that sweet _DeckerStar_ hug in Season 2, for example.
Eve has no bad intentions like Peirce did. Eve also recognized that Lucifer was in emotional pain and needed someone to accept him. She was exactly what he needed after how Chloe reacted.
Yes, he could have said that him being vulnerable was his father's doing but it doesn't change much: there's only one reason why Lucifer is willing to stay near the one person making him vulnerable: he wants to be with her even if it makes him killable... so not much comfort for Eve
Kudos to Chloe for her _"sacrifice"_ to _"save"_ Lucifer, even though it was largely *symbolic!* + Chloe probably wouldn't have been in much more danger laying across Lucifer than at any other place in there. + Chloe's body across his wouldn't have provided much protection in a building collapse. + If she really wanted to protect him, she should have covered his *head!* It's sort of a counterpart to Lucifer's gesture to save Chloe in that touch _"axe scene"!_
I know this is old, but YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT (11:25) about Lauren tapping into her emotional part of her character. I'm a guy but it makes me tear up every time. Never had anyone who did that to me before. Love her. (Btw, this is my 5th time watching Lucifer) :)
Eve has said so many complimentary things about Chloe: _"I can see how someone would be drawn to you", "Lucifer says you're the smartest, most capable...",_ etc. Chloe *KNOWS* that all that info came from Lucifer. Lucifer has told Eve about how Chloe has hurt him, but keeps everything negative to herself. Nevertheless, there will be a bit of awkwardness between DeckerStar for a while.
I find Chloes reaction hilarious. She runs away for a month, then conspires to kill Lucifer, then lies to him straight to his face (the worst thing you can do to Lucy), then she uses him for police work and then to top it off she gets him shot. xD
5:24 Thank you. This is the dumbest thing the authors have done so far. I mean, they've never put much emphasis on credibility in their cases, but that was really for the ton. So superfluous. She wouldn't have had any real reason to go along with Dan at all.then there was no reason to go in the club. And if she already stab the guy then that can still be considered self-defense and protection of others. She would have gotten out of it without any problems. But she unnecessarily pulls the gun. And to add the crown to the nonsense comes a complete and unnecessary confession on top of it. But the unnecessary confessions somehow always come. The team only needs to come up with assumptions that would all lead to no conviction in court and yet they all confess. That's lazy writing.
She stabbed him, but he wasn't dead yet, so he could tell them all that she was the mastermind + she didn't know if he had already told them the whole truth that the robbery was their idea, this was the reason to go to LUX. What would have happened if she hadn't gone to the club? Don't you think he'd tell Chloe(because she's a cop) the whole truth to bring this woman down and bring her to jail too? He knew now that he couldn't expect anything good from her
In the long list of smart choices this show makes (the main one being, y'know, "the entire cast" :), avoiding the cliched "simplistic Deckerstar foil" route with Eve was one of the smartest IMO. Also, no spoilers but a word to the wise - there were a couple of moments where I personally was glad i'd chosen to watch the season 3 "bonus episodes" _before_ S5. Otherwise I might've wished a friendly time-traveller popped back to suggest it :).
Indeed. Watching the "bonus" episodes _before_ season 5 is pretty much a _must._ Heck, I just realized that even _this_ episode (4x5) is _slightly_ improved by having seen 3x25. Not a lot--it's not major spoiler issues or anything, but the dash of extra insight 3x25 provides makes at least one scene a _little_ more poignant. Oh well...
12:55 we’ve seen quite a lot of her actually…but rating and censorship will make that “her” costume the most we’ll see Oh…wait…that’s probably not quite what you meant was it…? My bad…I’ll see myself out then shall I?
Well of course you love Eve. She's your mom. She's everyone's mom, and she wants all her children to be happy. :) And Inbar Lavi has a knack for scene stealing to rival Aimee Garcia.
But I'm not sure Lucifer believes he's vulnerable around Chloe because of his father at this point. He agrees with Amenadiel that angels self-actualize after all. But at least the situation is normal to him.
What? Have you watched the show from the beginning? He often blames his Dad in everything. Yes he knows that angels do self-actualize, he realized that at the end of s3, but still... Chloe is his Father's doing
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 Yes. But that doesn't mean that him being vulnerable around her is his fault. Depending on if the show thinks free will does or doesn't exist, which it doesn't seem to have a solid stance on.
Personally, I find the constant pushing Lucifer and Chloe away from each other is already very annoying. When watching season 3, I didn't care if they were together or not. Now they put Eve between them, and I honestly wouldn't mind if they were together and ended this thread of relationship. Now I will say an unpopular opinion that everyone will hate me for, but in my opinion too much time and attention is being paid to their relationship, which makes this show suffer. This series had such a potential to show the devil struggling with everyday life and human problems in such a really great way and all those supernatural things that added color. And instead we have a drama or Lucifer and Chloe will be together.
