hi bryan, now my job position is like you as night audit from front office dept. sure every single night is different and it's unexpected. sometimes very busy and hectic, another is slowly. i think it's because occupancy room also haha.
I have job interview tmw at Hyatt as a part time night auditor because they already have one and want another one to keep our schedule flexible Do we get room & food beverage discounts all over the world or just only at the hotel I will work at if I get hired?
Hi Bryan, wow great position. I also got an offering to be a Night Auditing in one of the hotel in Bournemouth, UK. Is there any change that you can share your knowledge to me? Really Appreciate it. :). Thank You in Advance.
Hello Jacobus, Thank you for taking your time into watching my review of being a night auditor. Night Auditing is actually a really intersting position in the Hotel. Even if its working at night, you still hold alot of responsibility in managing the hotel. From my experience, you have to prepare and be ready to face any challenges during the night both physically and mentally. You`d love it for sure, if you are someone who is detail oriented and hardworking :) Please do let me know when you start working, looking forward into your reply! Please share it with your friends and like my video :P Cheerios!
It depends on the hotel chain you are working for. Every hotel has their own process but as a night auditor myself I can tell you to make sure you have a means to entertain yourself. Like Bryan, I must close out the day's books and set up for the next day's arrivals and departures but that process is approximately 2 hours tops. The other times I use by familiarizing my self with the surrounding community (restaurants, things to do, post office and the like) and the property layout and inner workings. We have to be a concierge, security, maintenance, housekeeping, accounting, front desk, and breakfast team all rolled into to one. Knowing how to handle problems and accommodate the guest is key. Keep gloves and a flashlight on you at all times and a mulitool would be helpful as well. I also spend time creating new methods to make everyone's job easier. I am now officially responding to the guest reviews on Tripadviser, Google, ect. The point is to learn the job, then make it your own. Hope this helps. We do more than most people give his credit for.
You really didn’t explain too much - sure you must be “detailed - oriented “. Kinda a given ...ummm... in every job you have. Wish you would have explained the “audit”.
Essentially, you audit everything. You audit the revenue your received versus the payments you received for rooms, movies, food and beverage, etc... It's a fairly easy position.
@@Luv-dq5th i had two nights with someone showing me around and stuff, after that youre doing the nights alone you dont need any experience, i literally didnt know what i was doing for 2 years lol but ive quit since ive commented this, it really messes up your sleeping schedule
@@DigitalBath306 thank you for the response, this definitely boost my confidence. I hope they get back to me. And i know what you mean about the night shift, but all my jobs have been the graveyard shift so i'm used to it
