Just discovered this build! Looking forward to it. I had a hotted Sigma 1981 as my first car. The Scorpians were very desirable. Wish it was still here. Can't keep them all.
Brilliant video I have a 62 Vanguard 6 Ute that I’m considering fitting a 302 Windsor too My only issue by the look of it I may need the sump to be deep at the back as the chassis mounted crossmember is similar to a HQ Holden And the engine bay is narrow Cheers
Excellent stuff. Ver informative videos indeed. I was considering the 302 Windsor conversion in my Scorpion, but was wanting to know your thoughts on the 3.8 litre Buick/Holden engine conversion?
Not really a fan of the Holden V6, it's a bit wider than the Windsor, about 2 inches (depending on whose measurements you believe) and about the same weight. So you have a cast iron push rod V6 which is 3.8 litres or a cast iron push rod V8 of 5 litres which is easier to fit........
I had a Cressida years ago, took it in for a wheel alignment the technician said there was insufficient castor on the left as a result of a previous accident and that was too bad as there is no adjustment and I would have to just put up with it pulling to the left! Not good enough for me. I took it back to my shop, cut the radius rod in half, threaded it with left and right threads then took it back, you should have seen the guys face.....
I have and it would be a great conversion, but a lot of extra work. The beauty of the Windsor is that it is such a great fit. Not many conversions where the sump fits so neatly with the crossmember.
Its great to sit here and watch and listen to a wealth of experience and knowledge, we are probably similar age, im learning here🏅

Nice job mate on the trailing arm
Is it easy to make adjustable castor rods for an R31?

Hi are you making those top arms.

Love your channel. I learn a lot from your work. Ever consider an import Toyota V8 for these Sigma/Scorpion projects?
