@@jjm2412 he was not, thats the whole point of the comment, lighters work when you rotate the flint so it makes a spark that turns the gas on fire, that little button it has is to propell the gas, the diver didn’t tried to make a spark w the flint, he just pressed the gas button to check if bubbles would come out (means that the lighter has gas still) therefore he never tried to light it up, he was just checking in a very clever way actually

Regardless of what he's exactly saying, the point is he thinks he's comfortably talking to her, telling her about his cravings, feeling safe, intimate and getting vulnerable with her (don't know how to describe it better, I'm not a native speaker but I hope it's clear enough) but in reality she's recording him and puts him on the internet for other people to make fun of him.
