In the past I've received two messages like these from exs. I received them within the same year, so it was about five years, and two years after I broke up with them. And it _was_ nice to hear that they admitted to being wrong, and that they felt bad for hurting me. However, it was as though they knew what hurt me, but they didn't know _why_ nor _how_ it hurt me. A step in the right direction that I wasn't expected, but it didn't seem like they would be growing as people.
I thanked them both, commended one on her courage, and made it clear I don't forgive either of them.
So this audio was bittersweet. More "sweet" than "bitter".
I'm glad you got you apologies and also that you recognized there was some more for them to work on before you could feel secure in knowing they were working on a solution. Forgiveness is wonderful, but so is recognizing that patterns don't change without something changing them.

This is honestly really beautiful Dream. I'm pretty sure this will hit a lot of guys really hard, because it's something a lot of us need/needed to hear from an ex. I can't imagine why you would need/want to make something like this, but I know hearing it hit's on a whole different level. I do hope that you're having a good day.
To be honest, I got the idea from a recommendation when I was doing keyword research and I thought "I'm gonna make some male fantasies come true by letting them hear a woman say the words 'I Was Wrong.'"
A beautiful and wonderfully heartfelt audio with an important message woven into it that really tugged at my heartstrings, and made me tear up. Her apologies and the sincerity in her voice is phenomenal! Her genuine and sincere apology acknowledges the pain she caused to her boyfriend, and she show that she accepts responsibilities and will hold herself accountable, and demonstrates a tremendous level of empathy. You did an absolutely amazing job at conveying the shame and guilt that she was feeling for everything she has done. Her excellent level of integrity and character will help restore tranquility, harmony and love with her boyfriend.
It's a very emotional feeling when wanting to reconnect with someone we once cared deeply about. I want to tell her "It's alright, I'm sorry too. I don't want to lose you too, so lets forget all of this thing, and start over. I'll always love you with all my heart" Then I will embrace her in my arms and wipe her tears away. I will be her boyfriend again, and will give her all the cuddles and love and affections she deserves.

I was so nervous at the end there. I’m the kind of person that tends to give second chances, sometimes too easily, so when the message got immediately deleted, I started sweating. But it’s nice to know the listener still cares.
Any chance we could get a sequel down the line of them, maybe not being partners again (at least not immediately) but still caring enough about each other to be friends again and have the listener support her on her self improvement journey?

The apology felt very sincere, and since I myself am ready to forgive mostly anything if the first thing someone does is apologize, I just wanted to hug her through the phone.
I also really liked your explanation about how things like an inferiority complex can cause people to lash out at others as a self defense mechanism. Maybe I am so forgiving because I am very well aware of that myself...
Anyway, I hope they get back together and learn how to live with each other. The listener should validate the speaker more, both emotionally and by "picking up behind himself" more, and the speaker should learn to relax a bit and not project her insecurities outside. But I think they can do it!

When I was outlining the script, I thought about what kinds of things couples fight about that aren't worth having stress over. Cleaning seemed to be a thing where both people can be equally right and wrong. Ideally, both parties can come to reasonable compromises to keep the house healthy and presentable, but shy of interfering with your enjoyment. After all, noone *really* needs every closet to be ready for military inspection at all times.
This is one of my favourite audios, largely because of how real it is. A couple of years ago, I was in a lousy job and, at the same time, got into a lousy relationship. She took out past hurts on me. And was becoming the people who hurt her. It was my first serious relationship - joke that it was - lasted just under 3 months; and left me questioning my worth unlike anything else.
It all boiled over some time later - over text, we had a fight. Later on, she came back, apologised for everything she'd done. We talked for about an hour and she offered to help me out in some way, should I ever need it. Two days later, my best friend reached out after he survived a suicide attempt from the same workplace. She helped me support him through that. At the end of 2021, I resigned that job.
The whole experience scarred me pretty deeply. But in the end, my ex became an ally against the real enemy. And helped me break the life patterns that had gotten me into those crappy situations.
