My wife and I saw them live in Houston and Dallas back to back days last year and even on the road when they are unable to bring their giant production stages they give 2000% every single song of every show! Their stage presence in person is surreal, her voice booms into your chest. We were very close to the stage in Dallas and they also did so much personal crowd interaction, they really know how to make the crowd feel special and a part of it and the relentless insane energy they have the entire show is fueled by the crowd getting hyped too and them wanting to compete with the crowd for the most energy.
It's such a blast!

"Road of Resistance" debuted live in late 2014 at O2 Academy Brixton in London and is still their usual show closer. Although this time it was the first song after the show opener.
Yeah, they are black belt in crowd control and it's amazing how they manage it, specially audiences in Japan like this. It's also an incredible experience as an attendee.

Really nice reaction. You hit on a lot of the things/magic that make Babymetal unique and wonderful. Su's vocals are truly exceptional. A voice like no other. Haunting even. And yeah different choreography for every song?! The Kami band just killing it. And the crowd interaction. From their earliest days BM have had an incredible connection with their audiences. And that shared energy is one of the reasons that Babymetal are legendary for their live performances.
Great reaction. 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.
Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British power/speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version.🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction! Yeah, the choreo... this includes the crowd 😄 Yep, there´s crowd choreo, too! BABYMETAL is a real wild thing, as this (the connection between the band and the crowd) was there right from the beginning. "Road of Resistance" is their staple show closer (WoD is mandatory! 🤣), they play it most of the time. I witnessed it on their EU tour last year. It is even better, if you´re part of the crowd!

This is generally no big problem for Babymetal. They were build to lead new groups to metal (inklusive The Performers themselves) Su Moa and Yui were a bit shellshocked what they are doing. It took some time but then they learned that a shock can be helpfull. This is their standard closing song. At that stage Momo and Moa have normally trained the audience enough that Su can use her Crowd General Capabilities.
You can understand their Crowdcontrol only in their real Concerts. Moa and Momo don't use one Concept but switch according to the Situation they find. They select a amall Area and then they test there willingness to follow their lead. In Japan they had the big problem that the audience was used to stay silent. But this changes from Region to Region. And Moa developed her own method. This is the advantage if you are the dance Trainer of the complete Unit. And she has them 6 days per week under control.
