I love how your garage actually looks like a living room 😄 when I saw that floor first, I really thought you'd mount all that stuff inside your flat 😏 Beautiful videos! It's nice to see you working on that bike with such passion! Looking forward to see more!
+Atomfried Vader I always wanted a proper man cave for bike, tools, and beer fridge to chill out! Really appreciate the comment, it made my day and has spurred me on to keep making videos. Thanks, RD
I know this is an older vid, but here is a valid comment for anyone doing this upgrade. Many of these lights have tabs and recesses to help align it correctly. Often when they are not fitting right, the light is upside down. When positioned right, it should sort of "lock" into position.
Make sure those are mounted on right as they tend to turn every now and then. I had these for a while but decided to go back to classic look 4.5" headlights with upgraded H4 bulbs.
Thanks for the heads up I'll keep an eye on it, I didn't actually use the stock metal retaining ring so if I get some movement I'll put that in. How does a H4 bulb compare with the LED headlight for brightness?
I didn't see you put the metal bracket inside the headlight...that keeps it upright. The H4 bulb I got shoots much better and farther light than stock. It isnt as focused as the LED light of course, but its definitely much brighter than stock. They say it works similar to 110/100W but consumption is 60/55W. So far so good :)
Nice mate very nice... I have the 3.3gallon tank in the post on it's way to me. I'll be putting that on at the same time as my 32" drag bars. once I've completed them two I'll be ordering this light. Do you think the stock headlight rim will fit back into place?
+teddd10 Glad you're getting some inspiration! I think it would fit with the stock rim, as a back up plan you could remove the plastic retainer socket that you plug the headlight into to make some more space. It's a tight fit though. Be great to see yours when the work is done! RD
Hey buddy, nope it's been perfect. The RSD bezel doesn't create a perfect seal so in heavy rain some water does get behind the unit (not in the light itself) but the light has been great. Defo recommend it, just be aware it's a tight fit but does work!👍🏻
Riding Digital fitted my daymaker she's nice and bright👍 read the instructions after and says about - cable relocation to crank case, I haven't done this, did you? And did you just tuck the connectors to the little side light bulb in the back?
All I did was plug the main connector, not the little one but the high beam still works fine. Nothing other than that! Basically what I showed in the video and nothing more. No issues to report!
they do fit, but its tight at the back, you need to be patient and lay the connector block flat, it will go. If it throws up an error code I've not seen one, unless that the reason I have a red light on the clocks...but it's not worth x6 the price for a Harley one imho
Hi, door is 87cm wide, although with the dragbars the bike is 92cm wide....so if I could recut the door it would be a little bigger! Still managable just need to lean a bit when going in and out. Hope this helps! RD

Hi mate thinking of getting the same light have you had any problems with it cheers

Hi, I've been looking at these day makers on Amazon, seem to be a reasonable price compared against HDs prices 😂 what size light did you fit?
The one I bought was 5.75" made by Wisamic, it was around £50 and works great so far👍🏻
Riding Digital thank you, I'm going to purchased today 👌
No worries mate. Just remember it is a tight fit, get the plug right at the back of the unit and it should fit snug. Good luck!

Hi buddy really wanna change my light would this fit a 2016 48 do ya know?
hey, I don't think the size changed on the 2016 model, the diameter should be 5.75" of the actual light unit (not casing)
Yeh that’s what I thought but I’ve seen reviews on Amazon from people saying they don’t fit and create error codes?
