He probably has already heard those things from women he was dating and because they worked on him he is now telling them. :) So there were already used on him or his brother or friends
1- “I love the movie.... or book..” 2-I bet you’d be fun to do / going .... with ”Date within a date” 3- “Let’s get one!” 4-“I like the idea of a relationship but it has to be the right one.” 5-“This has been fun but next time could you please not wear that shirt? Because it gives you an unfair advantage ;)”
First tip is more than just saying you love something. You show passion and stand your ground if challenged but keep it good natured. This shows so many good qualities.
That second one is tricky because knowing me and my mind, if I'm attracted to them I might end up accidently saying "I bet you'd be fun to do" which would inevitably make me seem mildly insane sooo...
The second tip is really effective! When I met my boyfriend for the first time, and we were just casually talking, he told me he collects vinyls. And I said: 'oh I'd love to listen to vinyls with you!' And that was it. I saw it in his eyes. All the dating afterwards was just formal, I had him with this single sentence.
That's wrong if I am getting the drift, you should say, "Matt, you should never be naked next time, because your buff body will give you an unfair advantage."
I know these comments are playful but please be respectful to Matthew as sometimes they are little creepy bordering on harassment (talk with your clothes off?). If genders were switched, your comments would have been flagged for sure. At the end of the day he's a professional giving dating advice, not some bloke trying to land a date with you ladies. Please show him some respect.
That's not a good way to justify sexually charged comments/compliments as they can still be unwanted from either men or women. Making open observations on how sexually attractive you find someone you don't even know whether 'serious' or a 'joke' (I doubt they're joking about finding Matthew hot) is basically the cat-calling and wolf-whistling of the text world (which a lot of guys do BECAUSE they think it's funny and like to impress their friends and is less about impressing the girl because let's admit it, NO girl is impressed by that stuff). That's what becks56 is getting at. If we say it's funny and cute when girls say this stuff about guys then how do you say it can't be the other way around. Respect should be universal in the way we talk to and treat each other. If he was your brother certain comments here would get your protective side up I bet!
am I the only one who goes GREAT! now how do I translate it to my language and not make it sound totally awkward and three times longer.. after every video? 😂
OMG! You're totally not the only one. The 9texts programme seems great, but I'm afraid it wouldn't work so well if I had to translate everything into Polish.
No one needs dating tips. Being single is the better option in this day and age. Today's romantic relationships fail to meet a cost benefit analysis because many millennials have unrealistic expectations for relationships which they wouldn't even be willing to compromise for if push came to shove; most current 'relationships' will inevitably result in wasted money and broken hearts. This is a lesson that I have learned from witnessing so many of my once confident friends being rendered into mere shells of their former selves. I've been single for my entire life by choice and thus, have avoided similar consequences.
To answer your questions, I ended up on this site because these videos keep getting recommended to me (I don't know why) and I am not unhappy with myself or unable to offer anything to a date. I just don't think that it is worth it anymore.
I do live in the US and you are correct in that many people do not value relationships and they glorify money. However, this is not an inherently American quality, as many people from westernized countries are more likely to value affluence over romantic relationships because they simply aren't needed. I am also put off by exactly what you said about the greed among so many people in the dating scene. Even though women are now in the workforce and have equal opportunities (and tremendous favor in the court system) due to the advent of feminism, they do not want to lose the benefits of being women, which include male chivalry and free dinners among other things. For many men in the US, the rewards of dating have decreased but the responsibilities remain the same. At any moment, a woman can decide that an encounter with a man was ''assault' and then the innocent man will be treated as guilty until proven innocent. If you've ever noticed that American men are becoming less and less interested in romantic relationships, its because many of the benefits of such relationships have been taken away from them. I would rather be single than be treated as a disposable utility in a gynocentric world. There isn't really a point in me trying to describe all of this because it will likely fall on deaf ears. However, now that birth rates in the western world are decreasing from lack of incentives to start families and more children are growing up in broken, single-parent households, people are just beginning to realize that men need more reasons to form committed relationships. Women are supposed to work with men, not compete against them.
"A date is a trailer for the movie that is you." I love this statement. Having said that, I will not definitely date someone if I only want something casual.
I found your videos while I was researching for a social psychology course I was taking. And Matthew, I have to say, I continue to watch not only because it's always a fascinating topic, but because I genuinely appreciate your phenomenal sense of humour and authenticity. You're going to continue to do some amazing things in this life.
I like the no. 5 tips.. I had my 1st date w/ my babe a month ago, and i remembered i did compliment his shirt but w/ different approach. I said to him "oh you're wearing a white shirt right now, you look so attractive in it", my weakness! And then every time we go on a date he's wearing a white shirt!!

Hi Matt, I'm going on a date in 4 days' time. This is someone whom I've never met before! This will be the first time I'm going on a date all by myself, and I'm in my 30s.....Watching your videos have certainly given me the confidence to know that my love life is worth a try, worth giving a kick and worth trying. Omg: the true ninja move is about the t-shirt that is planned to glow soon. It’s so original i am afraid i could use it for an awful t-shirt just to say it and be memorable ...! I LOVED the humour in the video. It's quite different from your others in the past but it was quite a good change :) and all the advice was true ( as always ) keep it up :) love your videos Xoxoxo
I smile when I watch a lot of your videos. Interestingly, I've accidentally hit some of the points while talking to guys before watching these videos. I instantly noticed they were happy about what I said. This is so fun.
Matt, don't wear that shirt! You have an unfair advantage! lol Love the humor and fun in this video. I'm definitely going to use these on my next date.
Hey Matt, I just went out on a date with a guy and although it was fun, it was an improvised Plan B (there were technical difficulties getting to the movies so we went to the mall instead). We got along well but I regret not seeing your video beforehand! We didn't talk about seeing each other again. Nor did I hint I'd like to do a specific activity with him next time. Your advice is so encouraging and uplifting. And you're just gorgeous, which makes you even more enjoyable to watch! Looking forward to the next video already.
Hey Matthew! Thank you so much for all the advice you share with us. For quite sometime now, that I've been watching your videos and following your work, what impresses me most are your skills in understanding human dynamics the way you do. I know you have videos on how to react in certain situations and senarios mostly when it comes to our love life which is very helpful when you put it in practice. I think what will be interesting and very beneficial is if you would come up with a list of books or writers that influence you most throughout the years of studying human dynamics which we can use in every aspect of our life. If you can share that with us, that will be amazing! Thank you so much for all your work!
Hi Matthew! Thanks for coming out to friend's movie screening. My apologies for the OMG gasp at the theater. Teeheehee. Stumbled upon your videos about a year ago and just want to say that I think what you do is super positive! Also, thanks for introducing yourself to my bf while I became speechless. lol Love your work!

I love to watch Matthew Hussey....he is definitely easy on the eyes....
Thank you so much for all your work!
you're the best Matthew! Thank you so much for making these I hope you know your fans really appreciate it

Very interesting! Love it. How on earth does anyone go on a date with Matthew though? Do they use his own tips on him? I feel like it would be well intense!
