I like that the third person in the love triangle isn't evil. It's so easy to have a love triangle where there's no respect between each person, but Tina and Anjali were friends - despite us not seeing it enough. It was clear even when Anjali found out about her death.

What makes Rani(Tina) so special is that she was the only one who understood kajol (Angeli) feelings. Kajol was trying to act like Rani and instead of laughing like everyone she told her she's beautiful. In the end Rani wasn't only popular because she was super pretty but she understood the love that Rahul and Angeli had for each other which shows she wasn't those big ego show offs that think they to good because their pretty...All popular pretty girls act like that. She was different and not like others but a true soul that she even named her daughter after Angeli and made her reunite Rahul with Angeli because she saw the hard feelings that was kept inside. She was a very empathic person. Thats what made her likeable all the time because most boys realise how stupid big ego girls are and get put of. As much as kajol did very well in this movie Rani deserves major credit for killing her part in this movie.

I disagree she literally laughed at Anjali she only understood her feelings at the train station when Anjali was about to leave. She didn't understand the love but she just understood their bond of their friendship. Sending her daughter to reunite the two friends was one thing but sending her to reunite them as lovers is another, she didn't even care to think about Anjali's life what would she have done if Anjali was already married? If she knew Anjali liked Rahul why did she wait for so long instead of just telling Rahul about Anjali's feelings? Her daughter and the grandma literally stalked Anjali which is creepy, Anjali was gonna marry Aman if Rahul and his family didn't crash her wedding. Aman was literally Anjali in the first halve of the movie; left heart broken

Just rewatched Kuch Kuch hota hai after years on Netflix. Everyone was so so good in this movie including the supporting cast, but Kajol was just something else. The emotions and her expressions were so on point. Brillant acting by Kajol. It didn't even feel like she was acting. It was so natural. She made me feel every emotion of Anjali. I cried like a baby all over again.. Though I must say the young me was totally all for Rahul and Anjali and I thought that was the great love of kuch kuch, but watching it again, Aman was the better choice for Anjali. Rahul didn't deserve Anjali.

@@meandi5956 lol, I guess during the college days we cnt blame Rahul since he was like every other hormonal college guy going after the hot girl, but when Anjali left, what annoyed me was how in the world didn't he get that she was in love with him and he never even tried to go look for her. I do believe he was genuinely in love with her in the end, but it's messed up because by then he didn't deserve her, Aman was crazy in love with her and would have made a better partner for her.

I think this scene and the station scene clear many misconceptions about the characters. Those who say that Rahul was an insensible person and loved only pretty girls should understand that Rahul fell for Tina's beautiful heart too. In this scene, it was only Tina who tried to console Anjali while everyone was making fun of her. Yes, this gesture of Tina made Rahul more attracted towards her and he finally proposes her after this incident only! And if we talk about his feelings for Anjali, then I think the station scene is perfect to prove that Rahul has always loved Anjali only, he just couldn't realize it earlier and when he realized, it was too late as he was already committed to Tina..
