I admit that my prayer life stinks. My praise life is pretty good because I have seen and felt His presence in my life often in the last couple of years. I used to pray as I walked outdoors and indoors with my husband. Our city has a few nice walking trails that we used in nice weather and a very boring indoor oval structure in a public sports facility. When I was outside, I would see the beauty around me and find myself inspired to pray. Inside, it was so boring that prayer helped me get through the laps! However, a few years ago, life happened, and I moved away from prayer time when it was most needed. Now, I talk to Him during the day and at bedtime. Occasionally, I feel led to writing out a prayer request and praise. God has been so good to me, and I am so thankful that I have so much to praise Him for. I'm now alone in my apartment and in my state! But, I know that He is with me here and that He's waiting for me in my ultimate, eternal home. I love your sweet spirit, and I know that I need to jumpstart my prayer life again. Thank you for your gentle kick in the behind. I think I will grab my makeshift journal and start writing out a prayer today.
Believe me, I understand. I really felt like my prayer life was a repeated loop that was increasingly making me feel worse. I can understand how the outside beauty & indoor boredom would facilitate prayer! Baby steps, meaning start small. Remember, 2 minutes are better than none. Sending you prayers and blessings. 🙏💙
