Yet another great Blues based British Rock band from the 1970's. Foghat were a ton of fun live, and were a touring staple during the whole decade. Next, "Fool For The City".
This song was written by by the great Willie Dixon and first recorded with Muddy Waters in 1954. My favorite version is by Etta James off her first album "At Last". Cheers!
My wife and I saw Foghat three times in the '70s; every show was a no-stop Full Force Gale blowing rock & roll. show. Thanks for the Foghat, it's appreciated by many of us old dawgs in our late senior years (75 to 80). It was rockin' back in our 20s.
Great blast from the past, mid 70s was so great and the music was magic for teens like myself. Hitchin' rides to concerts, cause if u wanted to follow bands back then, u had to literally follow them. Being to young to drive yet at 14 and 15 u had to bum a ride, And no it wasnt scary for us to hitch rides. Everybody hitched and everyone with cars picked up hitchers. Got a bit scarier in the 80s, but I was driving by then. Thanx for the memories, Peace
Crazy how a hard rockin' band like Foghat has been excluded from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but Dolly Parton is....and now Cher is in the running to be inducted this year. It's Bizarro World at it's finest!! Keep rock alive and get these wanna bes out of there!!
Dancing with "Danita"... Beautiful Blonde, 5' 11" (Great Legs) .... "Handlebar Saloon", Huntington Beach O.C. Calif.... Sawdust on the floor. This song was cranking. Great Memories from great tunes.
And here from 1974 LIVE in concert for television playing this song. They had two of the best front men ever in Rock with singer/guitarist Lonesome Dave, and lead guitarist the great Rod Price (one of the best). Unfortunately both have passed away with Dave in 2000 and Rod in 2005. The band today has only the drummer Roger Earl, which makes them just a tribute band. This video shows the real FOGHAT. th-cam.com/video/G_OdvxTZRPE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YZNjvFWc1itiVCIv

"You Guys" says you need to add to Boz Skaggs Playlist - "We're All Alone".... or the "Wizard" will have to cast a spell, and he can be quite inventive in that realm.

Next from this band should be.... "Fool For The City"
I like the live version better. Probably because it's the version that was played the most. Foghat Live is an album you should listen to.

I'm glad he's listening on the headphones. It is by far the best way to listen to it.
First saw them in 77, alway a great live band and always a good time.

Well, he's honest. ☺️
Great song! Also check out 'Hallelujah, I Love Her So' by Humble Pie from the Life At The Forum album. Nice feel-good song.

I got to see them in concert and they must have extended this song out to 15 minutes . . . . A W E S O M E !

This was an old blues classic by Willie Dixon, who also penned a number of well known pieces. Etta James did a kick-ass version also.

It does make your head bob.
There's a longer version that is even better.
There debut album where every song should be played. 🎸💪🍺🎶Came out of Savoy Brown band.
You should check out the Rightous Brothers version of this song. Truly great.

3 quarters of Savoy Brown. Great blues band that gets very little love.
Bill Medley of the Rightous Brothers does a great cover of this, not that I don't love Foghat!

Foghat suggestion - Angel Of Mercy
Drivin Wheel should be next.
Easily their best
