My husband's parents have 10 kids. They've heard all of these. One of the most common lines is "You know what causes that, right?" My father-in-law's response is to look them dead in the eye and say "Well, I've narrowed it down to two things, and one of them I'm not giving up."
I keep wanting to conspiratorially whisper, "NO! we've been trying for years to figure it out, but we keep coming up empty! Have you figured out the secret?!" Just to see what they say.
Congratulations y’all! The first Sunday we with to church with our fourth child, I actually had a woman ask me the most intrusive question ever! Here I am feeling like a million bucks showing everyone my new baby, and she asks, “You did get your tubes tied, didn’t you.” I didn’t know what to say at first, but someone else did. The oldest member of our church was in her late 80’s and she asked, “ And why do you think that’s any of your business?” I gratefully turned and walked away.
Pray for her. Sounds like she might be a little jealous. I have a 7, 5, and 9 month old and I'm pregnant with #4 - I get lots of "oh wow that was fast" but always with excitement and love.
Yup... we have 4 and constantly get asked "are you going to have more or are you done?". We have many friends with large families (6+ kids each) so we feel like a small family in comparison LOL. We always answer with "we will have as many as the good Lord gives us." Every child is a blessing. I'll be your cheerleader here 😊
We have 5 and that’s my answer too! But we have the largest family with most of our friends. My midwife always says when I call her at least you and your husband still love each other 😂
we have 4 daughters and 1 son. son is the youngest. For the question "are you done now that you *finally* have a boy?!?!" I've answered "well, we need to give him a little brother to beat up!" (because the answer to your question is none of your business!) They then have a look of disgust. If they say "well, that was a rude response" and I'm feeling particularly snarky I say "not as rude as your question"
We have 9 kids and it always surprised me that people, even strangers, thought that we were interested in their opinion about the size of our family. CONGRATULATIONS!!! 😊💜
Just brought home baby #4 yesterday. Thank you for your channel and creating such a kind and supportive online community. There should be more people like you guys in this world :)
Congrats - it's a blessing! We had 4 babies in 5 years. They were close growing up, and dated each other's friends. It was a hectic time but wonderful!!!! Tell Heidi when it gets overwhelming - to hide in the closet and eat chocolate. It worked for me!
This is hilarious! And a good lesson that the only two things you can say to someone who is pregnant is "you look beautiful" and "can I get you a snack" and that's only if they tell you "I am pregnant." NO GUESSING. Also, "congratulations" to the parents and "that's so exciting" are also acceptable. SO. Congratulations to you both! This is so exciting and a blessing. Heidi, you look beautiful and I hope you are feeling good and that your family is making sure you have snacks. My third (second VBAC) was a great, fast delivery. Prayers for you and baby!

Currently pregnant with my 5th. I’ve heard the comment “don’t you guys have a tv?” so many times over the last 3 pregnancies. My husband just responded the other day to a complete stranger, “Nah, who needs one of those.”
The doomsayer!!! LOL LOL I love it when he makes an appearance!! 🤣🤣 Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful blessing, this child will be so lucky to have you all for parents!! 🥰🥂👶🍼

Oh man. Not gonna lie I was a bit embarrassed when I accidentally got pregnant with my 4th. But kids are a blessing and I think people forget that. Congratulations! My best friend and I have been watching your videos and sending them to one another since last October when I first told her I was pregnant with my first. @@mistymoments89 Wow! It worked out great... We got really burned out (built our own house and started a homestead during that time). She's almost 2 now and we love the dynamic. The older ones help take care of her, and they have a lot of fun together.
@@Supersaltysiren Right on! My family was kinda the other way around.. My mom had me (boy), then 5 girls 😁 I prayed and prayed for a little brother, but I was 11 years old when my 3rd sister was born and I gave up 😜
Congrats! Even though I was only Blessed with one, a friend of mine who had 4 once said, once you have 3 you might as well have 10. When you're out numbered you're out numbered. LOL!
My grandma got screamed at by the doomsdayer one time at a parade for having six kids with her. This was back in the 70s. I have no respect for people who cast judgment like that without knowing anything about that person's life or circumstances.
The irony is that we don't even have a replacement worker population and there are many people who had no kids to lovingly care for them in their old age. Example, every two people are not even having two children. Not only that but even if you have one there is no way to promise they will outlive you. My neighbor never met anyone or had any kids, she literally said that worried her and asked if my kids would help care for her. 😪 She semi-jokingly encouraged us to have a fifth for her and others like her.🤰
Unfortunately my mother was a doomsayer. She did it to me but thankfully not to my friends faces, most of whom have large families. But she gave ME an earful about how they were a burden on the social welfare system (even though they didn’t use social services to support their families!). She has decided what’s right for other people most of her life!
I feel those nosey comments. I got pregnant with my second when my first was 13 months and my brother in law asked if we knew how it happens. Lots of family asked if it was planned, even though we told them that we wanted them close together. Congrats Dude Dad! I love your pregnancy videos.
As parents of 4, my husband and I have gotten so many of these 🤣 worst was when an old lady at Walmart physically grabbed my arm and went "are all of these yours?! Bless your heart" 🤣

@Gangari TheWanderer I wish. My nephew and his girlfriend have natural identical 11 month old triplets. I feel like I had it easy. Lol
I thought she always had a headache! Lol Congratulations!!!!
The cheerleader 😂 I just wish more people continued to cheer after you pass two. I'm expecting my second and will have one of each. I'm already getting the "so are you done since your family is already perfect?" And I'm already tired of it. 🙄 None of your business Karen how many kids I have.
You are both so blessed! May the Lord shine his Glory down on you both and your children!
This is great and so true! I totally have each of these people in my family, and now I am prepared for what they will say when we become pregnant with our 4th...lol! Just had our 3rd in June. 😊
CONGRATS!!!!! we just had #4. It's awesome. Exhausting.... and awesome.
My husband and I started trying and I pray that I am as fertile as Heidi lol
This is so true. 🤣🤣
Sending baby dust to you! Just got pregnant after 6 months of trying, it was hard mentally!
someone I work with at my temporary job here had his first kid at 42 back in January 2020, which I thank is kinda late for having your first kid, his son is now 2, I definitely want to have kids here at some point also, definitely a son at least, I just turned 25 here last month, not dating anyone yet, nor do I have a girlfriend, but I think of having kids in my mid-late 30s here, also I wanna leave the state I live in when i'm a bit older, then i'll try finding someone through Hinge or some dating app here
Praying God blesses you with all the children you desire to have and not one less! ❤
Wow! Your publicist really had you commit to marketing this book! ;-) Blessings.
I heard it all!! I had 5 kids. One friend said to me “You know it’s a vagina and not a clown car”. 😂😂
Bahahha!!!😂😂😂
This is wonderful news!! Congratulations!
As a mama of 12- I approve of this message 😂
Ma'am you are a hero and a saint. I have 3, trying for 4, and you must be miraculous.
Aww your holidays must be filled with lots of love. So sweet.
You guys are so fun! We just had our 4th, it’s such a sweet stage of family growth
When did it become strange to have 4 children. I'm 57 and 1 of 4. That was very NORMAL in the 60's. I'm so happy for you both and such a blessing. Heidi is every moms basic nightmare. Can just keep having babies and is still beautiful with that high school figure. AMAZING!!! BTW: I really don't like the dark hoodie guy! He's the problem with our country...and world! God bless & take care!
OMG you absolutely nailed the doomsayer I literally laughed directly into my beer, well done
As a first of five, married to the 12th of 13 (all one mother), having lots of kids can be great!
Holidays are a blast I bet!!
@@DudeDad Her oldest siblings are my parents age! :-0
Family reunions are fun. (Just spent a week at a ranch in remote mountainous Utah.)
So true 😂 praying for you and your family to continue being happy and healthy! Good luck!
Congratulations to y'all! Have as many babies as you want I think it's Great!! If I was abou 20 years younger I'd have more. I think if you have the support system, organization and finances and room why not have a bunch of babies 🙂!! And my mom and one of her brothers were only 10 1/2 months apart and they loved it! Everyone thought they were twins growing up.
Great video! I think The Doomsayer is one of your best characters. Everybody knows one.
Congratulations 🎈🎉🍾 on the new baby!
I love this 😁 i have 9, i can definitely relate to the responses. I will critique one thing, the Doomsdayer would never call it an unborn child. It would have been fetus, or clump of cells.
Lmao ... so funny. "Lemme get my gloves" and gross guy ... so grossly good 🤣
I've had 11. I've heard it all, but mostly gross guy/girl. Just wish I had a cheerleader friend. Congratulations! You're wonderful parents 💕
@Gangari TheWanderer Immaculate Heart of Mary
@@braydenrayden4695 You don't get to say how many is too many for someone else. It's between the husband and wife, and the Lord.
@@braydenrayden4695 yeah, I'm trying to take over the world through my progeny. You can go back to your cave now.
@@braydenrayden4695 Commenting on the wrong video man haha
@@braydenrayden4695Lots of assumptions there... My turn... I assume you are a selfish "little" man who thinks he knows stuff about something he is incapable of experiencing.
Congratulations!! What exciting news!
Wait?? Are y’all actually pregnant again??
That’s what I was thinking
Idk
Yes they are. They posted the announcement video last week.
Congratulations I guess I missed on your Instagram that y’all were pregnant again but I saw it on Heidi‘s ☺️I have four and I absolutely love having four!! God bless you all!
Yup
Gross guy is hilarious! And the end with the book! So funny!!!
