This game deserves more recognition! It feels like nostalgic games of old, but with unique takes!
I agree. I enjoy all these Vanillaware games. And Ogre Battle 64 was amazing too, this has such fun gameplay. I think this will be their most popular game so far! My only criticism is that Vanillaware should be more open to porting their games to PC too. Sega & Atlus have been porting everything to PC.

As soon as I saw it, I wanted to play it. But it was launched in every single console there are but not in PC that is my only way to play =.=

Even more? Physical copies got sold out in Japan, general sales are biger than those of Helldivers 2. Vanillaware outdid themselves and they absolutely did not expect that kind of success. :)
One of the games that got satisfying ending because you know what happened to the other characters after the game. They basically all have endings
Yes definitely, I liked this kind of ending presentation far more than Fire Emblem's endings

I like it when an SRPG has a unique finisher for the final boss. This reminds me of Fire Emblem Gaiden/Shadows of Valentia, where the protagonist has a unique animation, he will throw away his shield and put both his hands on his sword to defeat the final boss.
Is that a usable skill for alain ?if so , How can we unlocked it
@@ricokhusnah4786 do the unicorn ring sidequest, but heads up the move is only usable, as far as I can tell , for that fight and that fight alone, same with maiden ring skill.
Haven't finished the game, though it kinda bummed me during the scene where Alain becomes the King, that only a handful of the army were in the throne room, i would have loved to have seen everyone who joined us there to at least let them be seen and remembered for their deeds to the Liberation, but then again, they have homes to go back to.
Yeah my thoughts too, I thought maybe there was limited space and the people who lived close by and vips were more likely to attend.

It's medieval fantasy, at that time you're a grown adult at 15 and average lifespan of 40-50 years.
Alain is like 22 at the first time skip... Dude is mentioned in his and Virginia's rapport that they met each other last time when he was 10. Also, you travel through the entire country with a massive army that's like another 3-5 years plus...

Nah, I don't have the full list but I'll give you what I have in my menus. I have total 140, main 24, side 27, overworld 48, liberation 39, and I didn't do treasure maps except the first one. I don't know if treasure maps count, there's 5 for each region I heard so maybe you're missing that. I only have 99.8% map completion too so I might be missing something that appears on the map I missed.
I have a total of 173 quests
i hope the DLC would be fighting lots of monsters :D like FE

I like him a lot! I had his squad full of cavalry, from royal knights to radiant knights to even dark knights. I don't play for optimal builds, I just play for fun and to make fun teams.

So if someone can give me an answer to what I believe to be a major plot hole, I would greatly appreciate it. So from what the game shows us it seems that Galerius possesses the body of the person who defeats him in battle. Why then did he not possess Alain when we killed him in the Sanctuary when rescuing Scarlett?
That's actually a good question since for a momentary time Galerius was "slain" and it's armour was not dissapeared to show Queen Illenia's body, which either means he wasn't entirely Vanquished, or Baltro did not take away his soul forcefully
Does the person you give the ring have a different ending or any special dialogue at the end?
I'm certain yes it changes it.
Hello, after two separate playthroughs first with Virginia and then with Rosalinde, I can confirm that the ending DOES change based on your chosen Maiden Ring recipient
Hey people, did anyone manage to open the door at northern Albion? I can't seem to find a key anywhere
I got like 99.8% map completion, I remember getting past that door. You don't find a key, you need to take a ship to the other side of the continent and unlock the door from the other side. I think go to the westernmost part of Bastorias continent and upgrade that city to get docks, then take a ship to Albion. I might be wrong though my memory is fuzzy.

Hello, you can actually get infinite mirrors once you reach the Orthodoxy once you fully rebuild Peyston. It costs renown but the angel girl outside will never run out of mirrors to purchase

Is there new game plus ?
I couldn't find an option for NG+. It only lets me start a new game with new difficulty. It also lets you play after beating it so you can do anything you missed, but I couldn't find anyone who triggers a new game plus.
Dose the ending change for different wives or is it the same?
I'm pretty sure it changes depending on who you give the ring to! A friend told me if you don't marry Scarlett then she will be the Pontifex. But in my video because I gave her the ring she married Alain, gave up the position of Pontifex and became Queen instead. But the very final scene should change too I believe.

How long is the game?
It's long. Maybe 60 hours if you rush through the game and are really good. But to complete every optional mission it could take 80+ hours. I edited down a lot of my videos.

How many actual prebuilt characters are there?
The developers advertised that there's over 60 unique characters. I found all recruitable unique characters and the number matches up: bai-gaming.com/unicorn-overlord-all-unit-recruitment-guide/ .
So if there is a true ending how do you get it?
I think you need to do the sanctuaries and you need to promise someone the ring, maybe you need to complete all regions and their main missions too. Although these seem obvious I think you can access the final mission at anytime, which you shouldn't do (you don't even have to save Scarlett which gives her a very sad character ending). If you did the sanctuaries and promise someone the ring, you should then be able to unlock a final dialog after beating the normal final boss, choose the second option like I did to get another battle. This is just my theory, the exact requirements will be figured out soon. It's because I had a friend who didn't do any of this and the game ends at Valmore with a normal ending. But if you do these requirements and do what I did in this video, the game continues past Valmore and you fight the mage who is the true mastermind.

I don't think so, it only gives you a regular new game with a new harder difficulty.

I just beat the boss and the ending was so fking garbage i legit lost interest in playing the game anymore =/
Did you visit the sanctuaries? Build a relationship with Alain and 1 other person, whoever you want - you can do it through cooking meals Taverns at a big city and view their supports. Then you can visit the 6 sanctuaries. I think this is the main requirement. Did you do the main story in each region as well? And when you beat Valmore/Galerius make sure to choose the second option like I do. For six sanctuaries see: th-cam.com/video/eOKxoVk5dhc/w-d-xo.html . You don't have to befriend Scarlett, you can befriend anyone with Alain.
@@BAIGAMING i disovered later on today what the issue was. I basically beat him too early.
I beaten the unicorn overlord map before even going into the elf lands.
I presume getting the marriage done (which i have done now) and getting the sanctuaries (the story mentioned it when i tried accessing the sanctuary after awakening the unicorn ring) will be enough.

tbf, it's not really a bad ending when the conclusion is nearly the same (albeit baltro isn't mentioned), it's more like a normal ending
