Sometimes, it also doesn't help that the bandits have superior weapons. But even with advanced weapons, our soldiers' default position is to protect their own lives first by retreating. The Nigerian army is the only military outfit in the world that concedes defeat to the bandits or terrorists even before arriving at the areas of conflict. Let us call a spade a spade: Naija military is afraid of the terrorists.
