    If his excellency Goodluck Jonathan were to remain in power till today insecurity would have been a thing of the past considering landmark achievement he made in his tenor. Insecurity in Nigeria is purely inspired by religious bigotry were the various terror organizations are from a particular religious believe(Islam).
    For peace to reign Nigeria should be dividend into two kingdoms namely Muslim majority as northern kingdom and christian majority as southern kingdom each with its own government,democratic structure and allies and currency because about 100,000,000 christians and 100,000,000 Muslins to coexist as a country is an aberration and is not found
    found in any part of the world either Christians are majority with a wide margin or Muslims so now whose religious idealogy will we adopt --- two kingdoms literally engage in shadow war without end
    with resultant economic devastation, insecurity, backwardness,hatred supremacy struggle an lack of trust etc

    Everything you are saying works in a sane society with a properly equipped, committed military. Those enlisted in the Nigerian military are not mentally vested; these soldiers joined the military only to earn a salary, which is different from other nations. So, when they feel the slightest threat, they retreat because they are not there to defend their country but to put in another day's work. Sometimes, it also doesn't help that the bandits have superior weapons. But even with advanced weapons, our soldiers' default position is to protect their own lives first by retreating. The Nigerian army is the only military outfit in the world that concedes defeat to the bandits or terrorists even before arriving at the areas of conflict. Let us call a spade a spade: Naija military is afraid of the terrorists.

    • @NedMedia
      @NedMedia  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're right many joined for economic reasons not patriotism. They no longer have superior weapons than soldiers and evacuation order must come from high command so it's not just the problem of soldiers being afraid...

    • @markm1720
      @markm1720 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@NedMedia, I hear you, but the facts support the notion that they are afraid. What about Kuje Prison and various instances where our soldiers bolted a day before a terrorist attack, even without seeing their level of weaponry? Is it not Nigeria we are talking about? For the most part, our soldiers are cowards who are only good at harassing unarmed citizens.

    All these your unsolicited and ill informed/overly simplistic analysis. Withdrawal doesn't mean surrender. Why match forward when you are clearly unprepared or overwhelmed/outmaneuvered just for more soldiers to be killed!!. How much frontline military experience do you have to suggest what should be done in the front lin?? This is not sentimental politics talk.
    Having said that, some naija military heads/political class may also just be incompetent or making the war drag on. lay man analysis of a frontline battlefield isn't very helpful nor intelligent.
