BTW... Hats off to Lcdr Amanda Lee for jumping from the slot position to the right-wingman position and did it flawlessly! It can't be easy transitioning mid show from having 3 jet in front of you always viewing them from the slot position to the right wingman position where you're looking only to your left and making correction relative to your position under the boss's wing! Bravo !!!
I agree! To practice as much as they do in their respective positions, then to completely change to a different position after practicing something else for so long just proves how amazing these pilots are!
You can hear the Boss announcing “Diamond Burner Go, Low Transition, Left turnout” as the takeoff maneuver. No intention to loop. This was due to clouds. Will hear him make the high show/low show call after departure (if you can listen to comms) and they can survey the clouds from altitude. #2 had engine problems. Was an issue all week. Jet was stuck until Thursday, until a part was delivered that morning. Plane was up, and heading back to Florida within 45 min after Fat Albert dropped the part off. Good video!
Thanks for the comment! Where I was standing I could not hear the PA system at all and I’m shocked it came through as loud as it did in the video. And I learned about the left engine issue the day after I had edited and uploaded the video. The landing gear rumor was just what people were saying at the show. Either way, it was cool to see what happens when a jet has a malfunction during a show
I saw it #2 bug out behind the city then on one of his orbits noticed the gear down and thought the same thing,,,, gear issue? Went back to my video and didn't see anything blaring either. After landing it almost sounded like one engine was out but that's just my speculation. #2 did not depart after the show with the rest of them, then Bert came back to BKL on Thursday around 1600 to deliver a part!
Either way it was cool to watch what happens when the show doesn’t go as planned! The fact that they were able to get #7 up to finish the show was awesome! Not gonna lie, a five man delta break just would not have been as special with just 5 jets

Nothing happened, I don't understand.
The #2 jet had a malfunction during the show, then had to land. The extra #7 jet then continued the show in its place.
