    THANK YOU! There ought to be a congressional medal for people like you who take the time to show us exactly how it's done! I just spent the past thirty minutes replacing a couple of worn trim pieces on the doors of my wife's Odyssey. The dealership wanted $300 to do it, plus parts. If I didn't already have grown kids, I'd name my firstborn son after you. ("DIYHonda Bremer" has a nice ring to it, don't you think?)

    Thank You for posting this !!!
    The steps you showed were easy, straightforward, and exactly what I needed to get the door panel off without damaging anything. Once the door panel was off, I could see exactly what was wrong (interior door latch linkage cable had come loose from a few clips and retainers). Now the passenger door can be opened from the inside !
    Thanks again for taking the time to post the video !!!!

    Hey brother, thank you for posting this video. I just did the replacement myself in about 1 hour, including the transfer of all the interior screws, elbow rest, tray, and light. Your video got me past the hardest part, which was removing the old panel without damaging anything. My van recently suffered a breakin, and the shards of glass swept across the panel trim, tearing it up. Thanks to you I'm good as new. 2 years later, and you're still helping people. High five.

    Do you have a video where you address the door locking mechanism? That part is all that's holding the panel on once these steps are followed

    Love how you use both hands. Lots of videos with one handed workers...wait let me set the camera down to use two hands.

    This is very helpful; well done. So does this all work on a 2013 Honda Odyssey EX-L? The video only states 2014, but the title suggests otherwise. Thanks!

      The particular car in the video is a 2014, but it will work on 2011-2017 models

    @DIYHonda 2013 Odyssey. I am trying to figure out how to remove the power outlet from the front dash panel as I want to replace it with a USB charger. Can you please show me how to do it? I am sure it will help others too.

    Great video, but man that was hard watching you use the flathead screwdriver pry the panels apart. You should invest in some panel/interior trim tools, brother. Thanks for the video!

      Yeah, he definitely marked it up you could even see it in the video. If a shop did that to my vehicle they'd be buying me a new door panel either on their own or after I took them to court.

    • @andrewjohn5810
      @andrewjohn5810 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or just by simply pulling the panel little by little instead of marking it up. Pulling barehanded is better than using metal to pull it apart

      @@DIYHonda Can you confirm if its the same procedure to remove driver side door panel 2016 honda odyssey?

    • @DIYHonda
      @DIYHonda  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@snmohanram it will be nearly identical to the passenger side. The only thing that may be different is the wiring plug going to the switches on the door panel.

  • @johnsteele8073
    @johnsteele8073 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    MY GOD do NOT use a giant flat screwdriver as a body pry tool. You just scratched the s*** out of that door all over the place. Spend $11 and buy a complete plastic trim kit to pry that stuff off of guys... Dude this is downright scary.
