It is great to see someone so young in the hobby finding success and opening their very own store
Some of the display tanks are very well done. I also think that the water trough plant setup is a great idea. Finally, the store looks very inviting.
She has the sweetest giggle ever; I'm not sure about bad fish, definitely badass!!! May fortune always smile upon her.

No their not, they are stuck in the past. There are a few good ones here and there, but the majority in the USA in my experience are cancer with no consumer protection. You cant say you have no return/dead refund policy when you have no two month quarantine. That's not fare to the end consumer. A two week refund period with water test isn't much to ask for. If someone wants to return a live healthy fish for the first two weeks it should be a 50% refund as that fish now needs to go through quarantine again. Everything is setup at LFS's, and wholesalers before them so that we are fighting a uphill battle by the time we get the fish. Consumer protection is the least we can expect.
Just go to Petco/PetSmart, or buy from live aquaria etc. they all get their fish/coral/plants from the same people, as the LFS's. If the LFS's aren't going to quarantine and your going to have to pretreat every fish you get then you mind as well save and buy from one of the above.
BTW if you are giving consumer protection and you are a lfs owner. Don't take personally what I said above, your one of the good ones. Your practices will speak for themselves.

Not sure why she was nervous. She did very well in the interview and has a very cool store. Hope it thrives.
If you haven't ever been on camera, it can be a very disconcerting to have a camera pointed at you. I spent a couple of years studying at the University of Salzburg, Austria. I was interviewed by a reporter on camera. I was definitely a little nervous. Even though my German was very good at the time of the interview, having to do it in German was a bit intimidating.
Shes young.
Because public speaking is terrifying and it takes practice to become comfortable and confident when doing it. Agreeing to have a bunch of strangers fly to your store and question you while being filmed for the internet takes bravery.
She wasn't nervous in my opinion!
Cory said “and how can they find you on those” and her eyes lit up like a little kids dream just came true. I couldn’t imagine being 24 years old. Opening a fish store and having a team this experienced and this well known come to it and want to talk to me. And then ask me where people can find me and post it to their TH-cam page after had watched them for so many years. This is why Aquarium Co-op is the best there is. 👍🏼

Alexa’s Badfish is my new go to store. Just started with an aquarium again after a 40 year break. Set up at planted 55gal tank. Found Alexa via this video and went there. Absolutely brilliant experience. THE friendliest group of guys. Alexa, Robert, Robert’s mom, Alexa’s puppy. Just brilliant place. Worth the 30 minute drive
The planted tanks are amazing. The Aquarium Hobby is exploding again.
Absolutely ADORE the effort she is putting into her bettas. It's an expensive thing to put so much effort into bettas right off the bat with a relatively new store and after suffering financial loss/struggle just to get the store up and running. The fact that her main focus is the well being of her bettas right now - MAD RESPECT. I wish I lived near and could give her my support. Thank you Cory for showing us her store and giving her an opportunity to showcase all the work she's done.

I am so happy you guys made it to Badfish. I stumbled upon the store in January, and it was amazing. I must have spoke with Alexa with for 20-30 minutes, she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Her plants and live stock are second to none!
I was finally able to get down to Badfish a week or so ago and I was blown away! This store is so well run, organized, and the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. By far the best LFS in south Florida. More south Florida fish keepers need to visit this gem of a store.

I live an hour and a half from Badfish and had to go check it out after seeing this video. Alexa’s store is truly amazing, it was awesome to meet her and my daughter loved the stickers and shirts. My favorite fish store, we go check her out when we have a day to burn. Fuego!!!

Badfish is 5 minutes from where I live! The shop is even better in person, every tank has healthy fish and plants and the store is so full of life!! Shopping local isn't always the cheapest way to go but I would much rather support a passionate local fishkeeper than soulless big box chains. If you're in the aquarium hobby and live anywhere in Florida this is a must-visit shop. Whatever you need: fish, plants, driftwood, equipment, they have a selection that most fishkeepers could only dream of, with knowledge and help to match.
Gotta say Jimmy did an awesome job on this one. Well done!

Some ideas for videos as I know you were asking (Some of these are just my ideas, and others I've brought up on forums with interesting conflicting thoughts):
Should you keep fish from different continents together.
Homemade fish foods
Maybe try to bring in newer fish into the American market, and make tutorials on how to breed them (Ex. Macropodus occelatus)
Maybe try to make new varieties of fish and document the process of doing that
Do you really need water conditioner for well water (For heavy metals etc.)
Try new products (A particular one I've been wondering about is the aqua flora, look it up, I'm perplexed)
How to breed different fish, maybe bring dean on for that too
I would personally be interested in the progression of different takes (Ever see king of DIY, kind of like that, video journals of tanks)

Really cool. I like that you talk with people just starting out. It's great that now people in that area have a fish store to check out. Some are better than others even in the same area.
I started in this hobby in 1969. I am amazed of all the changes and progress that have been made since that time. The typical client in 1969 was the family now it’s just about everyone.

I actually found this channel through Badfish’s IG after visiting their store. Everyone in that store is pleasant and a nice change for this area as all we had previously were Petco and PetSmart
