- A poor father is torn as he struggles to pay his daughter's tuition at one of the most expensive schools in Liberia.
When his daughter was taken to the village to visit her grandmother, the father became entangled in a web of culture and tradition.
At age fourteen, his daughter was forced into the Sande Society and was forced to marry a 54 year old man, who often raped and abused her.
Since his tribe does not practice female genital mutilation(FGM), the poor father embarks on a journey to free his daughter from the clutches of culture and tradition.

From Freetown, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 I am enjoying every bit of this movie and the message it portrays. Salute to you, my Lib people 👍❤️🙏
This is what africa needs. I feel the pain of the many Nigerian who said negative about this movie. I feel it's as the result of pride and selfishness. Thanks so kindly for the support.
Am from Sierra Leone but i love this movie so so much 😢😢😢 may God guide and protect you Frank you are a good man keep it up

We need to be proud of ourselves ❤
I'm right there with you my sister capemount ❤❤
Because of this act they cut my sister on her way from school she was attending st Mary high school in 1979 my father and all of the kru people when there and told them that it was not our traditional as a kru people so they should put my sister outside they refuse than my father and the kru people told a machete and gas ⛽ and put their Bush on fire 🔥🔥🔥 and got my sister out by force 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My father and the kru people actually acted the same day so they didn't teach my sister she was saved 😭😭😭😭

The dialect speaking added extra flavor to the movie
Yea I like it too. That’s a good extra. I thought I’m the only person enjoying the dialect even though I don’t understand the language
Agreed I feel like when we speak or dialect it helps with how we portray ourselves on screen in the acting with that makes it even better and believable
Exactly 👌👌
🎉🎉 I'm so happy to watch this movie ❤
😂
This Liberian village is so clean, green and beautiful village much love ❤from Ghana 🇬🇭

I wanna Cry 😭 a lot came up in my head while watching this movie 😢 I understand and feel everything thanks for bringing this out 😢
My late grandmother almost did this to me but many thanks to my Uncle who saved me 😰
Today I am far from this trauma thanks Frank for this nice piece 🙏
Thank God for you. Some young girls at that time weren't lucky... They had to experience this...
It was my aunt that wanted to do the same with me but my dad never allowed it🙌🙌🙌🙌
Waow as a Ghanaian 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 am proud of you Mr. Frank for making your return back to liberia 🇱🇷 and enlighten the people of the mistake that happened in the past and must be corrected onwards into the future
Absolutely this is the best movie I have ever seen from my beautiful country🇱🇷
Thank to frank and everyone who participated in making this a successful story
Great movie
In many years I haven't seen a Liberian movie so captivating as compare to this movie.
I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the project manger and all those who worked tirelessly to make it a success.
Wow! Amazingly, I am impressed how you pulled this off without being held accountable for crossing sacred traditional boundaries. The settings and role-playing in the village are so natural. At one point, it felt like a reality encountered. Thanks, Frank. I hope to see more from another perspective of Liberian culture.
I learned a lot, very educational.😂😂😂 that guy had the nerve to call someone that can be his son, father inlaw
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
The audacity 😂😂
Right, it doesn't make no sense😂😂😂
Imagine 😂😂
This is my first favourite Liberian movie. I’ve not been paying attention to my country movies. But this one is an exception. Great acting, great cinematography, blending of the English language with the native language added extra elements to this movie.
Man.. if we can get more of this, I’ll be the happiest, I’m in so much love with this, it makes me cry when I watch. Brother keep on the good work. I’m so proud of your accomplishments.
Everything about the movie is unique ❤ much love from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱🇸🇱

This movie is so educative and I can’t wait to see the end. Congratulations to the entire team for such a great job 👏🇱🇷
Wow! Beautiful movie. Thanks for always putting Liberia and it's culture on the world map 🎉❤❤❤
🤍🤍😨😨Poor poor girl got trapped in a real life nightmare, a tragedy to humanity.
This tradition is still preserved and intact ❤by my county Nimba ❤❤❤❤🥰😍our tradition is our life and culture ❤❤🥰🥰😍Nimba the county that never 👎 forget it culture ❤❤❤great movie tho
So you want old men to marry babies ?
That’s nothing to be proud of . It needs to be abolished.
You call this evil practice tradition. Bunch of old wicked man sleeping and enslaving young girls, You are out of your mind.
Thank you for adding another value to our industry. ❤❤❤❤
I remember my mom said my young Auntie was taking to the Bush. I started crying for her (I was about 8 years old), and my mom said, "Why u crying? Because you going there too." Days later, my Auntie came and got me because my dad sent for me to come to America. 🙏🙏
This movie is very educational, it's relatable. I remember every time we used to visit the farm during vacation and the village women will be encouraging our parents to send us to the sande bush but my dad didn't allow it. I remember he saying my girls are going to school, I'm not sending them there. If they mature and any of them see the need to join then they can do it in their own way.
The struggle of this girl's dad to send her to school is just what my dad went through. I'm grateful for a father like this.
What is more sorrowful is the introduction of his daughter to her grandmother's.
Watching from Dubai 🇦🇪, kudos to the entire crew 🙏🙏☺️, proud Liberian 🇱🇷
Liberia on the rising 💪, I love this movie, thank you guys for making this movie 🙏🙏💯, your beloved one T man from DR Congo🇨🇩🇱🇷

This is indeed great work, heads up Mr Frank , u're always on point.
This exactly your culture thanks frank❤
I love this video dearly, this video is totally indigenous to my culture. It symbolizes the truth attribute of our culture and the ways of life of our core existence.
I rate this video 10/10 .
This Movie is beautiful, it have alot of lesson and what a takes to be a single parent.
Well done Frank.
I love the way we do our own thing I love my mother land sweet Liberia 🇱🇷 thanks to all our wonderful actors and actress❤
I think if the father had spoken to his daughter about why he was hesitant on sending her as well as educating her on certain traditions, I think his daughter would have been alerted and been able to be careful. I think with children, its pays to be transparent, they understand and are a lot more courageous than they are given credit for. So heartbreaking, so grateful for the opportunity of traveling abroad.
Her father wasn't informed properly why he shouldn't take Weahdee to the village, moreover his late wife didn't informed him why she shouldn't be taking to the village cuz she was already on her death journey
Good job keep up the great work may the almighty God continue to bless you strengthen in every blessed way
😂❤❤❤This movie is one of the best thing to ever happen to African movie industry.
I love the smile of Frank daughter and the way she speaks ❤❤❤

I was at the 6 year old, they did the same to me they waited till mom went to work. I was starting at the window looking. Outside when I saw the woman pulled me out for the window and took me with them before my mom could come they was already done with me there is nothing my couldn't do it was later

I tried holding my tears throughout, but when it came to the part her dad came back with the cops & she ran to him had me tearing up😢
I grade it 💯/💯
I'm currently having the feeling of what it takes to have your local dialects being used for amusement, I thought it was only unique to Nigeria, Ghana and ect... but it's proven clearly beyond imagination and that I can't stop watching this movie.
May God grant you the required opportunities to improve Liberia's movie industry.
This is really a great start, thanks so much guys 💪😘😘💪💪🙏🙏🙏
Thank so much it's Liberia that started this movie things in West Africa and we are back again with good story

Congratulations to you and the entire crew👏
I was seriously tearing down 😢when I watched ma Jatou taking the innocent little girl to the bush 😢
The girl was watching her father lying helpless, calling her name and waving his ✋ but she couldn’t do anything to help her father 😢
I this is one of the reasons why her mother was advising you not to take her daughter to her mother when she was on her dying bed 🛌 😢
Big thanks and appreciation to our own man @frank for making us understand our culture and value as a Liberian 🇱🇷
This movie tech me a lot of things 🇱🇷💪🏽
