Having grown up in and lived in several parts of the U.S., I think I'm qualified to say that Korea's aesthetic makes most American cities look like a piece of plain boiled cabbage... or a sticky dumpster (lol sorry fellow Americans). Every street, alleyway, and restaurant in Korea somehow manages to look IG-worthy. Even in a crowded marketplace with chaos everywhere, it still somehow looks so pretty. Like, how? 😩 Loving the Korea Diaries, Lois!!

@@cris_here I know you'd have no way of knowing this, but the majority of my friends are Korean American or Korean... thus, I'm quite familiar with the general vibe and culture of Korea, mainly through their countless travels and captured content. All I said was, as someone who's lived in several American cities, Korea's aesthetic makes where I've lived, and currently live, look really boring and dirty - and for reference, I live in a fairly nice part of LA (albeit currently dealing with an overflow of homeless individuals) and work in Beverly Hills. The roads, restaurants, cafes, nature... I can only think of a handful of places that come remotely close to the cozy and magical decor I've seen displayed in Korean neighborhoods. The lush greenery I see when my friends show me their hikes and nature travels in Korea... the 24-hour neon lights... the traditional fresh markets... the food tents on the sidewalks echoing with drunken laughter... yeah, I don't ever get to experience that stuff. So when I see it through content like this, it's really beautiful to me. That's my opinion.
But I understand if you felt the need to share that many streets in Korea smell like NYC garbage heaps... I guess.

Love your vlogs… I’ve been home for a week since I left Korea and I did some of the stuff you did… I went to that dessert place around 2pm and was PACKED… totally not used to everyone just laying around with their shoes off but wish I could’ve found a spot… I DID eat at the shabu place across tho… OMG soooo gud… did you do okay with the egg yolk? In Gwangjang market I ate the donut first, waited about 20 or so but compared to the place closest to my hotel, dat was miles better! I also ate at the Netflix famous hand cut noodles stand in front of Ms who was cutting noodles right in front of me… she’s da sweetest! I didn’t eat the raw beef with egg though… I saw that restaurant but was still full from noodles and mandoo… I saw Terrance Place on Kakao maps but was trying to get into Doseulbak but they only took resverstions… first time I went they were closed and then the let down after… next door though… Postery Bakery was a hit!!! Wanted to eat ramyeon at the park like you did but only took shots of the Rainbow Bridge… Mahaloz for posting your vlogs and keepin’ my sweet memories alive… I’m in love with Hangug!🥰

So much food in Seoul! Feeling stressed thinking about where we will eat when we’re there in a couple weeks. Thanks for giving us some insight! Our biggest fear is not knowing Korean 😬
yes will also be writing down all the places visited so it will be easier to find! korea's still ok to navigate without knowing a lot of Korean especially the subway system is also in English so getting around won't be too difficult!
