After hearing some of what David went through, the testing of His faith, I am blown away by his DISCERNMENT. The ability to know what advice or inclination is Godly is so valuable. As I read and listen I am time and time again saying "How did He know?!". When you get advice, when it seems all right, fair and sensible to do something a certain way, it still seems it may not be the faithful thing to do. God I pray for the discernment of David. To hear your voice, know your desires, and be rooted in wisdom so that I would not mistake the wrong thing for the right. Amen
As i am working through this book, today fell on this chapter. Gods divine timing is at work here... I have literally, minutes before watching, i was attacked by members of my church, with intent to defame & harm my reputation.. Their arguement is unfair & unjust. It is debased & the facts have been twisted through mean gossipy deceitful hearts. The lord had warned my spirit though, that this was coming & all through the trial i faced, i was honest & faithful to him & my family. Today is the day of recogning for them, as i asked to stand before my accusers, so i can tell the truth to their faces, in the presence of witnesses. All glory to the Lord, no matter the outcome, i know that i have been righteous & truthful.
I choose to trust the Lord. Thank you Jesus for strength, mercy, faith, encouragement, endurance, a forgiving heart, peace keeping character and the fear of God

God gave me this portion of scripture today as I have been talking to Him a lot about buying a house and where to live. I had a friend say... "If you want to buy a house then just buy one." Then God gave me this passage... and I didn't get it. But want to know what God wants.. and nothing is too big or small for Him.

He takes books that are so difficult to understand on your own and shines a bright light into them. So interesting you mention not telling others about your fear. I recently noticed I am most likely to get bad advice or insight unnecessary fear in whoever I'm talking to. Then their concern makes all of our lives harder. I love the little daily battles you point out when we are dealing with a majorly scary time for David.
i always have an issue thinking these things are for me... trust in him is easier then the ability to think I am worthy for him to answer me... but Grace...
