thank you so much!! I have leaned flamenco class 2 years at workshop. They just teach you one song for each semester. However, I don't know anything , like the types of flamenco songs, sevillana or fandango or.... or even what do you call PASEO DE SEVILLANA” or PASADA” ...... I do learn a lot from your class today!!!!!! Please more video !!!!!!!!!
Las sevillanas gracias María muy lindo video gracias por explicarlo hace muchos años lo aprendí un poco cuando bailaba flamenco con un grupo para la obra de Carmen ballet flamenco gracias por explicar la historia de la sevillana también voy a practicarlo
I am trying to learn Sevillanas myself. My favorite turn (or "dobla") in this sub-genre of flamenco dance is the "pasada" (or "pass"). Usually in Verse 1, there are 6 such "pasadas" in one sitting. The "pasadas" usually happen with or without a quick spin just before it. I know that I need to use the "falsetas", and how the "cantaores" sing in the Sevillanas, to get the "coreografo"...right on!
Of course, when set to music, you start the "paseo de sevillanas" as the guitar re-starts after the tacet in the guitar happens, and the singer does a sort of "solea" (or solo unaccompanied), a sort of cadenza, to open the verse in the sevillianas. Then the "paseo" starts just before the singer does his first "copla." The "paseo" is generally a cross-tap type of movement on the L and R foot on one side, and then, vice versa (opposite feet) on the other side, the other cross-tap stuff.
Just like some types of ballroom dancing, Sevillianas partner dance generally focuses on offset challenge positions, usually without contact, at the beginning levels.
