Another cracking video.... That was a properly sketchy spot though! I would have been constantly worried about some idiots coming by and giving me some grief. You're a braver man than me 😉👍
@@AnIdiotOutdoors excellent I’ll look forward to it. We are off to Scotland next week so will be doing some wild camping videos. I may give stealth camping ago sometime, it looks like a fun challenge.
@HikingCampingandPhotography You must be used to having to be stealthy doing nature photography, surely? Enjoy your trip to Scotland and stay safe buddy! 🫡
This is what TH-cam was made for , brilliant ordinary people making great entertainment. Before Christmas i had an idea about making walk around videos around Leicester for TH-cam ive made some but not set anything up, yet. It felt terrifying at first, but then i stated enjoying it, and i can see the enjoyment in your videos Keep it up bud
Kind comments. Thank you! Your walk around videos would be like a vlog time capsule. Imagine watching them 30 years later. The more you get out there and film the more natural it will become and less terrifying. Just stay safe out there! 🫡
Awesome video again. That looked well dodgy stealth wise on that roundabout, little bit exposed. Congratulations on 500 subs, can only go from strength to strength. 👍😃👍💯👊
Lee, I thank you for your continued support. It feels like you've been with me from close to the beginning. I always welcome your positive feed back! Sometimes it makes it more fun if you have the challenge of being a little exposed. It's not for everyone. I turn up, I work with what I have. If I'm exposed, then I'm exposed. It ain't stopping The Idiot Outdoors enjoying a beer and a meal at The Outside Inn. I look forward to Saturday night all week. Love to you and your family sir 🫡
Yes been here from the beginning. Love your content and really look forward to your next camp as well as a good few members of my family now. We used to do alot of camping when we were younger but life kind of got in the way. Thanks to guys like yourself we've all started buying camping equipment and have organized a family trip to Loch Ness in March and hopefully many more to come. Keep up the good work good sir and we'll see you on the next one 👍👍👍💯😃😃😃
@leegrant5758 I'm pleased these kind of channels have given you the inspiration to take up camping again. That's a positive outcome from the channel..... Inspiring others. Yes you certainly will see me on the next one. Keeping it real as always! 🫡
@@AnIdiotOutdoorsWould love your advice on what kind of stove to buy for a 2 day trip. Me and my brother are taking our kids to Loch Ness for an Easter trip come 15 March. People have suggested a gas stove but would love your opinion. Cheers mate 👍👍👍
@leegrant5758 For a one man excursion that I do on the weekly, an alcohol stove is suited to my laid back style of cooking and water boiling. If there are going to be a number of you then I do believe a gas stove or even a dual gas stove would be more sufficient. What you will be cooking will have a factor in how you choose to decide. You could even cook on a real fire but again it's down to what you cook and the amount of people you are catering for 👍
You've just reminded me of something... I once had to trespass into a local ex-Water Board property to retrieve something...I did so at dawn wearing a visi-vest, shinned over the fence in plain sight of houses and a little traffic. Amazing how people just ignore you if you are wearing hi-vis gear, LOL. Dunno if you've tried that for the more obvious ones, looking like you're supposed to be there? I used to work in a post room, the Cloak of Invisibility was amazing, I could've done my round naked and no-one would have noticed... You could have had a hammock in that sculpture! (edit just seen you say that!) Yay Lidl....reminds me, I need to get some stuff from there or ALDI for my next trip before you-know-what. (I might bring my The Chair for that one).
Turn up in work gear and hi vis vest....... Maybe a hard hat and a lanyard with The Outside Inn printed on for extra authenticity 🤪🤪🤣 As I said you realise the more you get out there the less people care what you're doing. I won't get complacent though, still gotta be careful out there! 🫡
@@AnIdiotOutdoors oh yes, I think it's best to be stealthy if you can. But likewise, realised that people mostly aren't looking for tents, so they just don't see them, especially outside where you'd expect them. 'These Aren't The Tents You Are Looking For'
I think its about time I ordered myself some camo netting as I am pushing the boundaries quite often. I have your video to watch when I get chance. Currently at work now
I camped in swanswell once.. well I say camped. I got so waisted at the tik tok, that whilst cutting through the park , I sat down for a rest then, woke up the next morning coverd in dew and had a goose pecking at my leg ( no not a euphemism for anything)... couldn't find a taxi but the buses had started, so I sat on the bus home shivering like a shitting dog.
@@littlegrandadoutdoorsnot for about 5 years, I was going to start again this year but seriously damaged my knee so it looks like it'll be next year now.
@#anidiotoutdoors iam officially impressed... that one took some b@lls... not just because of how sketchy it is ( you can see the whole roundabout from the top deck of the no 20 bus ) . Every other week a boy racer or drunk driver loses control on that roundabout, it's always being repaired... I may go and try it in summer , I will use cammo netting ( no it's not cheating)... well done your best yet!!..
I avoided mentioning in my video about the cars doing burnouts off the roundabout down the A444 as I didn't want to open a can of worms. It's evident from the damaged signage that there are constant collisions. There were trees and posts between me and the vehicles. I've learnt from doing these stealth camps most people will avoid you. The only thing I don't want is the police turning up with a 'concern for safety' and moving me on.
@@AnIdiotOutdoors most people leave a camper alone because they assume they're homeless... especially near a city. Back in the 70s and 80s nearly everyone asked what you were doing there... maybe that's because I was young as it stopped in the 90s... anyway take care out there...
