In my Master Herbalist course, we learned if you needed your oil sooner you can use a yogurt maker. Put the herbs in a small jar with the oil and allow to just warm. It will take the medicinal properties out quicker and allow you to use sooner.
@tasteofheavenhomestead8553 I typically will do it for about 4 to 6 hours. If the oil hasnt changed colors, you can leave it for a few more. It fentlybwarms the oil which allows the medicinal properties to be extracted from the herbs.
Yarrow is incredible. I remember many decades ago my brother was bleeding from his nose frequently and my grandfather took a bunch of young leaves, squished them and put them in his nose. He never bled again!
Beverly on one half acre video showed her mak a Comfrey oil today. Also she made a poltist of Comfrey for her knee a week or so. I purchased a Comfrey root and got that planted yesterday. Thank you Jessica enjoy you video.
Ms. Jessica you look so much brighter. I am glad you recuperated. Your medicinal part of your garden is amazing. I was telling my daughter about it. As she is an ethical vegan. She is very much into Holistic medicine and healing. You are one of a kind. God bless your knowledge to help the environment as well Aameen.
Plantain is EXTREMELY effective for mosquito bites. I got stung by one of these big mosquitoes and it hurt and very intense itching started immediately. I quickly tore a plantain leave from a plant, broke it up and rubbed it between my fingers to release the oil, and rubbed the oil on the mosquito bite. It stopped itching immediately and never itched again. That was not the first time that I used plantain for skin issues; it's immediately effective.
Good afternoon my dear friend, I am always impressed by your knowledge of things!! How lush your garden is behind you, you are looking well, I hope you are feeling better!! See you Sunday, enjoy the rest of your week.
I’ve learned so much from you today that I was unaware of especially love the lemon balm lip balm one of my very favorites to date but then again how can you pick a favorite when the dear lord has blessed us with so much…stay blessed and thank you for sharing your knowledge…stay blessed one and all..
What a beautiful and wonderful video. Seeing the plants in flower, in your garden, instead of just the cut leaves was so helpful. I felt better seeing you healed from your Bee wounds. Thank you Lord.❤😊❤
I am amazed at your recovery! Your skin always looks so beautiful and after the bee stings I thought you would still show it on your face. So glad you are wise in your skin care.
Thank you Jessica! My first year grow Calendula. I grew to make lotion . Love the little stick idea. Im so glad you are feeling better after getting stung so bad. Praise the Lord for healing you. I always enjoy your videos
Excellent video on skincare. I had no idea that lemon balm was so good for chapped lips or cold sores. I love learning something new, so huge thank you! Saving and sharing this video too. God bless each of you!
Thank you for the video! I've been doing simple things like teas for a few years now, but I've really been feeling a pull to take things further this year. Could you give us a tour of all the herbal things you have on hand? Not just the finished products, but the "supplies" such as dried herbs and oils waiting to be made into something else. I've been collecting and dehydrating things as I learn they would be beneficial, and I would love to get more ideas. Your uncomplicated approach to everything really is a big draw to your channel for me, and I would love to get as much info on this from you as I can!
Glad you recovered from bee stings. 😊 I’m wondering why that happened. I watch tons of bee keeper/rescuers videos and many wear no protection and say overall honeybees are very gentle. They claim never get stung.
Wow 😮 that's so amazing how you made all of them different lip balms and skin care products ! Do you sell them? Thank You for inviting us into your home to share your homemade remedies 💖✨🙏✨
Plantain is one of my favourites. I make a tincture with it (infuse it in vodka) and it's amazing for healing small cuts and wounds. Both for washing them and for putting it on a compress/bandaid and let it sit on the wound.
Super useful video! Thank you Jessica. I have seen many other channels to see how they make affordable soap. Can’t wait to see yours. God bless you and your family.
I love seeing you save your family so much money by making your own natural products and i think it so wild that the beet powder faded into a light pink.. bummer. If i made it i’d want it darker haha
Thank you so much for continuing to share your blessed and wonderful knowledge with us. You and your family, warm my heart. So much love all the way from Northern Ireland ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this information💞. So many channels just talk about healing properties of herbs, oh you should grow this, it's great! But then keep it a secret as to how to actually utilize those ingredients 🙄.
Beautiful, idyllic spot in your garden. So happy that you are well and recovering from the bee stings. Thank you once again for your videos as we thoroughly enjoy you and your family!
I have been following your channel for a couple years since I discovered it. Thank you for sharing the content that you do I appreciate all of it and I learn so much. I have multiple sclerosis My preference is and I choose to work through my symptoms naturally. I am so impressed with your knowledge and all that you share through your channel. If you could offer any further natural immune boosting options or supports I would greatly appreciate you sharing that kind of knowledge!
Try using a large syringe. I actually use the one that comes with the injector marinade. I don’t use the needle with it. That little tray is really neat. I use a styrofoam tray that the tubes when you get your blood drawn come out of. It’s works like a charm.
You are a modern day Mother Nature. Your knowledge of utilizing herbs and flowers is amazing. So grateful that you are recovering from the bee attacks and can teach us your homeopathic ways. Thank you, Jessica.
Ty so much for sharing! As another mom of 8, i appreciate your ideas and efforts! I would love to make those lip balms... where can i find the cases and blue rack you used? TIA
I'll be trying these for sure. Yesterday I made some comfrey salve and comfrey and calendula salve. Looking forward to the soap making video! God bless

Great tip!
How long would you leave it in the yogurt maker?
@tasteofheavenhomestead8553 I typically will do it for about 4 to 6 hours. If the oil hasnt changed colors, you can leave it for a few more. It fentlybwarms the oil which allows the medicinal properties to be extracted from the herbs.
Thank you so much for the details!
