Been bumping this album since the early 2000s decade. And I have to say that this song, R.A.W., has always been my favorite song on this album. Daz and Kurupt was fierce on this song and of course that bad ass beat. Listening to this song on a stereo is like fucking heaven.
@@gmcneoplan84 ok that's what I thought but U confirm it. thank U. I love that melody with the keyboard. I love every song that has it like ghetto bird, only God can judge me, shorty wanna b a thug, puffin on blunts dogg pound etc
Daz is sooo underated as both an Mc and producer. His lyrics are pretty dope but his flow and voice is as smooth as glass. The way he raps he damn near sounds more like singing to me than just speaking words.
@@roberttange805 I dunno about him being the goat but he’s def a master MC. That’s what made dogg pound so dope. You had kurupt who sounded like a battle rapper from the east coast and then you got Daz who is as west coast sounding as it gets especially when he does the beats. Kurupt was one of the only few that dissed DMX. Callin out names is one of the hardest and most underrated dis tracks of all time.

Cam23 In high school (1997-2000) I was too broke to buy this CD at full price or mark down price. But I know damn well if I had any spending change back when this CD came out I would have bought this album.
I remember when this album first came out. This came after death row's retaliation, revenge, and get back. Big stores didn't carry RAW, because they didn't have barcodes on them. I got my barcode-less OG release from VIP records. Other small stores had bootlegs. DPG Recordz later put barcodes on the releases. Then they started showing up in big stores like wherehouse music, etc.
Incidentally, I got this album at the Indoor Bazaar (kinda swap meet-like, and you may have found some bootleg shit in there) in San Diego when it was new. I wondered why I hadn't heard about it from anybody else yet. Actually, I'm not sure how many other cats in my school were up on this at the time.
I didn't know they dropped this album.. I'm on Da block wit Da homies.. I looks at my star tac phone by sprint ..i had to copp it asap. No debate.. I didn't see it in stores.. But FYI had it on deck! That was in 99
I remember seeing it at my local music store and thinking that Daz had fallen off because the cover was just a picture of him with some cheap graphics lol. I copped it anyways and was surprised of how nice the album turned out to be.
H Lee jr I remember when this ish came tf out. I still got the og copy of the album that was pressed up without a barcode. The one that Daz Hans delivered to mom and pop stores on consignment. I remember being disgusted by this weak ish. He went from RR&GB to this weak ish. I know why...He couldn’t afford Death Row musicians to play instruments on this weak ish. But he kept stupid mf Priest Brooks. Priest did the whole album. Daz got all the credit and publishing. Since this weak ish didn’t sell, he got peanuts
