The most BASIC of BASIC rundown about Anki! Roast me in the comments about how little I know about it! This video is simply me showing you how I make and organize my cards. It's pretty simple and straight forward. But whatever I'm doing seems to be enough cause I'm retaining information pretty well.
Yesterday/today since it's 2am as I'm editing and uploading this, I hit 1097 cards in 2 hours LOLOL I'm so tired. No one is even reading this. Love y'all.

She is always surprising her self, she talks pretty openly about it. This is her style its unique to her, you can get your dreams too. I wouldnt focus to much on what she has more then how she stays true to her self and her commitments, these are the excellent ways in which she navigates her world and accomplishes her dreams. I agree though with your holy shit mentality it would be so awesome to get to that point in one dreams, a surreal experience for sure. :)

Currently binging your videos (not necessarily in succession) and I have two thoughts: the first, I’m not in the medical field or have plans to pursue it but your videos and work ethic is super fun and motivating to watch. My second, is that I can tell that you’re giving some very valuable perspective by having this channel. Medical students obv but even those who are in similarly rigorous programs. I watched an earlier vid about how you really didn’t have much esteem for your academics in younger years and I can definitely relate. I didn’t try for anything bc I didn’t think I could achieve anything and I’m only just now starting the process of doing something. I like the perspective you give and can’t wait for all the rest of your vids. Much love from VA!
I love anki! Everyone I know spends hours on making the perfect one pagers. I can draw something on my ipad and add it to my anki card and it saves so much time! Just my personal preference.

Usually medical school lectures/PowerPoints are copywritten by the university. Rachel would most definitely get in trouble if she shared those publicly. Sorry!

I really hope you see this, I've watched a bunch of your videos and noticed that you have a really different setup for review/viewing your lectures.
What program are you able to use that allows you to view both the powerpoints for lecture and the actual lecture video at the same time? Is this something you've made or is it something your professor's post for you.
I am in nursing school and plan to pursue NP and I would love to get my hands on whatever program you have!

How do I set it so that I can review the deck cards as many times as I want in a single day? Once I complete the deck it says "Congratualtions you're done for now" and won't let me redo it for some time.

Rachel, once I have created my deck (Basic and reversed card) in the following manner - front TARGET LANGUAGE and back ENGLISH, Can I Flip/swap the language order of the cards in an easy and fast way (one button change/click - like it was in Quizlet) before I practice them in my daily sessions? basic (and reverse card)
basic(optional reversed card)
basica(type in the answer)
cloze
and how can I install new cards such as the 10 questions.

Yeah I use to use quizlet because it's more aesthetically pleasing to me but I just download anki and I'm loving it so far ❤️ (i think it more catered to college students lol versus quizlet...)

Hi Rachel my anki does not want to use cloze. Everytime i choose cloze as a type it always says, This card is empty. Use the Empty cards option from the menu on the deck list screen. Can you please help with.

I would like to know after u make your cards do you go back daily through them or what's your process! love your channel and I always look forward to your uploads and especially your study with me's :)
@@yez955 the way Anki works is it shows you the cards that you're about to forget instead of you picking what to review. It has an algorithm that spreads out review so that you can learn new information but at the same time not forget the old information (this is called a spaced repetition system)

Thank you for clarifying. so as you go onto study new material or make new cards it still brings up old cards from a few days ago or yesterday is that right? Would you recommend this for Orgo 2? I think for orgo 2 i need to just write it all out and teach it out loud but for other classes this is amazing!

What’s the difference in clicking a button for the cloze deletion answer to pop up or clicking the button for the answer to pop up without the cloze deletion? I guess what I’m trying to say is no matter which style you choose, when you click, the answer is revealed in the same manner right ??
If you want to review AGAIN your flash cards, you can change your calendar setting. Adjust it whatever days you want. You can see your flascards again.

How many decks do you go through daily ?
Hi, can you please help me out with a problem that I have? I downloaded the Step 2 Zanki deck and now want to start studying all cards randomly for my Step 2 exam. However, once I click on "Zanki Step 2" and then "Study Now" I always get the cards from the biostats deck first. I doublechecked if the setting "random new cards" is on but there are only biostats questions showing up. Do you have any suggestions? I also uploaded a video on my channel showing this problem so that you can see what I mean. Thanks in advance!

Anki is NOT free on mobile devices. It is $25 there. HOWEVER, you do NOT need Anki for your mobile device. It is a luxury for doing cards. You NEED Anki on your laptop/desktop computer. That is where you will make cards!

hello.. i have a problem i hope you guys can help me fix.. it's preventing me from benefiting from the image occlusion add-on.. whenever i add an image then mask then try to preview it using study mode.. the masked image appears and below it is the image without any masks so it essentially shows both question and answer.. i don't know what's the problem.. can anybody help?

really really late answer, but those random numbers beside the cloze means that she imported a premade deck, the numbers are created for a note type downloaded from pre made deck. You can use the normal cloze one or search in reddit for another note types that you like, it doesn't really affect it
I have a question:
I have a deck that contains 2000 cards in a specific order
let's say I want to study 10 new cards every day (to be added in the correct order) but review what's studied in random order
for example, if I have studied 100 cards, I want to add 10 new cards from 101 to 110 but review the total 110 cards in random order
How can I do this in Anki?
