I must have been 7 or 8 years old when, "Self Control", was always on the radio and Laura was on tv constantly. It was and still is one of my favorite songs. Any way, I too play bass and never really nailed this song, until I saw your video. Thanks! Now I know I can play this song. Cheers
Dude I realli love this song I first heard it in Gta vice city on the radio station one of my pers favs Flash FM xD thnx for ur cover I like how the tingling of the instrument comes on so sparkly like magic it's amazing vice city while I was growin up in the 2000 years from like 2004 I started playin it n all of the Gta games. Vice city introduced me to a lot of the old school 80's Hit songs tht I listen to so does my dad I hve the full radio station songs n commercials on my phone tht I listen to wenever am traveling ..

I think fantastic bass playing my friend, great finger control off course his bass is outstanding, I’ve just bought a bass guitar and hope I get to play that good I use a Marshall amp with mine and it sounds awesome 😎
On a side note, that is Mike Landau playing guitar on the track. He played guitar on many songs of the 80's. He still gets a great tone. Mostly Strats, or custom strats through Fender amps.
