how great is that, so much depth of knowledge! and it was bonkers up here in BC Canada for porcini a few weeks ago up in the mountains, easy to fill my 75 litre backpack with those fat little melon sized porcini. Not easy to time it right so a few trips to hit all the new flushes
It's funny you posted I just found like the big is pheasant back mushroom group I have ever seen in the park near me I'm going to try to dehydrate them. I might be able to send a picture to you on Facebook
@mushroomwonderland1 ahhhh, yes indeed it was. Alright thanks for the reply. Happy picking and enjoy the season because the Starks were right " Winter is coming" 🌧❄️💧☃️🌧😁
DANG! Those are some hearty, tough mushrooms!!! Having a bit of trouble picking them & shaving off the dirty base sounds like chopping wood. Now I know I have never found one of those. I thought I had in someone's yard & it was likely a sub type as everything was nearly identicle but the stipe was light slime green, tall & straight, not all bulbed out like these. I do pest control so... I DONT EAT, WHERE I TREAT! Not about to consume pesticides!
First time one of these vids has made me super-hungry! This place called Luca in my hometown does a great risotto with porcini.
Loved the last few minutes.
You always find thousands and I cannot find one. lol!

It'll be short lived ? 😓
Spoke to fast another hurricane came inland and pushed away everything. 😓
So no rain coming.
I hate climate change!
