I bought one as my noise was very bad and I wanted to work the South Orkney Island DXpedition a few weeks ago. The unit is amazing. I could not hear anything of them and the MFJ-1026 brought their signal up enough and the noise down enough for me to work them and get a confirmation from their LOTW log. It paid for itself right then! de W1AST
This is exactly why and what I bought this for. I am not getting good results. So... What is your actual configuration? internal antenna or external? i see you have both connected. Also how did you adjjust the unit to achieve these results? In my case, the 1026 worsens my signal to noise ratio. help help help...
Sorry for the delay in answering.. We used an outdoor antenna because our interference comes from a noisy hydro transformer down the road. If your noise is indoors, use the internal antenna. Not all situations are the same, so some trial and error is involved.
Great video and looks like a great product. Is The 2nd antenna actually being used to hear the broadcast stations and the main antenna for tx purposes? Tia
Best (by far) video I have seen on the MFJ-1026's capability. Thanks very much.
That’s very convincing at 2:51

I definitely need one of these! Tnx take care! 73 de ve3hip in welland Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Great info! Do you need to re-tune the 1026 every time you change band or frequency?

im new to all this im learning, anyone know how well this would play with a mfj manual tuner?

The two antennas work in phase to eliminate the noise
Apart from cancelling the noise, does this unit help to overcome RF overloading the FET?
Hi , no it is just for cancelling noise. I guess you could turn down the gain if its overloading.
No need, just turn gain down a little or use attenuator.
will this work on 11m and uk band
Yes it will
Yes, really good too if you use a second outdoor antenna instead of the built in one.
@@KandiKlover What kind of second outdoor antenna do you recommend ?

Don't try to transmit it's only designed for antennas with no swr
