Hey all, couple of points. 1. UNPOPULAR TAKE: I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I don’t have stances on certain things. I do but I’m not really on a “side” in terms of groups, countries, leaders, you get it. I can put myself in the shoes or position of different sides. Most of us know right from wrong and we don’t need these leaders or parties telling us that. 2. I thought of this idea if Tom wanted to add anything, I think he could add another person to play “the system” but it was a visually appealing simple concept. 3. I find that line to be very significant and profound, and I believe it is very relevant to the messages that Tom would share through his music. Reality itself is filled mysteries and things that we don't know or grasp. It would seem to me that the more we know, the more we realize that there is so much we do not, and that should speak to how limited our mortal minds truly are and how there are matters that are simply beyond us. What gets me about the quote is that Optimus is a fictional character who's not even human, and yet even he has this kind of mindset that gives him a sense of meaning for existence, at least in the Michael Bay universe. I look at this world that we're in right now, and I simply wonder, how many people can honestly and confidently say that they know who they are and why they exist? Many clearly don't know, and I'm not saying that to dog on anybody or act as if I'm any better. As someone who believes in God, I still got struggles, but I'd rather believe in him than to live with a nihilistic mentality.
Temi, wow! Thank you for this! It really gets us thinking and I agree 100%.. there’s this misconception that people who believe in God have it all figured out or never have doubts. I think the thought of why we’re here and going down all these rabbit holes Tom talks about scares the daylight out of people, and I don’t blame them. It freaks me out too.. that’s why I had to stop going down these rabbit holes and I saw my mental health improve. There’s still so many questions and not enough answers. You can debate about weather or not they're speaking for the ppl or rather speaking for the propaganda. I like rap and Tom McDonald is phenomenal. Thoe, at the end of the day, it's all entertainment to make you "part of a culture"💯🔥👌
You are very aware for what with what I perceive as a very young woman. I mean no disrespect on age. Quite the opposite. I’m an older vet. I’ve seen the lies in the wars we have fought. I’ve subd for a while. It gives me hope for young people like you when you recognize. All of our youth were indoctrinated
I consider myself very informed, but I lean right most of the time. But, I'm not a Republican, because people would assume that I agree with everything the right dose
I have a somewhat long comment here, if you want to read it be my guest, just be respectful, or don't read it at all. It's funny because I've never been hugely political, growing up my grandpa used to lecture me that I need to follow the news to pick a side basically and have an idea why I'm supporting that side and know what's going on. I've sort of flip-flopped a couple of different times, I started as a Democrat, not knowing anything about anything and not trying to learn, not even very political (I was young and didn't care.) Fast forward a bit and we get athletes kneeling during the national anthem and fighting with people about how they have a right to. When Trump was elected I supported him, then the last year of his presidency I kind of just followed the cool thing to lean more liberal and just didn't agree with certain things that Trump did (in all honesty in my experience Twitter is or was full of Liberals/Democrats and I was heavily influenced in kind of lean more left. Then I listened to Tom and he made me think, I still am not very political, but Tom tends to lean more right but he's on the fence. Through him and then Adam Calhoun I realized that I may not be that knowledgeable in politics, but a lot of their beliefs, etc are very VERY similar to mine. I fully want Trump back as the president but in the back of my head I've always had this thought that it doesn't matter who's voted in, and it's not changing anything
Aw why wouldn’t i be respectful? All opinions are welcome here and in fact funny enough, I actually relate to some of this. I completely get you, and share some sentiments here how opinions change over time and truly the leaders won’t do anything. Hard pill to swallow.

Great video. Just remember that Jesus never got involved in the politics of his day. And he could have, with all the followers he had and the conflict with the Roman Empire taking over Israel at the time. He said his followers were no part of the world (John 17:15-17) and true Christians (followers of Christ) would be the same way.
