- I was a photographer for the local newspaper and these are some recent prints from my old negatives from Santa Fe N.M. 1980s - 90s. These and a couple of hundred more are all going to the Museum of New Mexico Photography Archives.
I could watch and listen a whole day straight and wouldn't get tired! Love your pictures and all the interesting stories you provide. Thank you. Already excited for the next videos.
Excellent pieces of art.
So much life in photos, interesting.
Excellent stories and the art you've created! Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the kind words!
Fantastic prints of amazing photos. Contrast with plenty of detail. They look amazing on TH-cam, so I'm sure they are going to be even better in an exhibit. Thanks for sharing the photos and the videos you have uploaded showing us the process.
Thanks! These are for the archives. Exhibit prints, which may be two years off, will be bigger.
Absolutely incredible, thank you for sharing these precious moments. It feels like I know you better now. Congratulations on getting your body of work into the Museum of New Mexico Photography Archives, that must feel great. Nonetheless, well deserved. One day maybe I get the opportunity to see some of these in real life. By for now, Lowe (London/UK Audience).
Thanks!
Amazing work I really enjoyed watching these great black &white pictures. I'll be looking fir more. 👏
Thanks for the kind words, I'll be printing some more soon. And thanks for being my 1,000th subscriber!
I'm glad thanks !@@asa1000photography
Great stuff. Color commentary great stuff. I was a 20yr old kid living there during the same time and would have thought these were 65 to 1975.
Thanks! Back then Santa Fe prided itself on being ten years behind the times... 'set your watch back 10 years' was the saying! I'm sure you remember!
Great stuff. What camera/cameras did you use to take these?
All Nikon stuff. F3-s and an FM2 or two.. I did a video about what was in my camera bag, it's on this channel.
OK thanks, I'll have to watch that viedo. After watching your last one I can't wait to get back into printing. @@asa1000photography
Like the 18mm shot with your wife and the dude in the trading center: did you use a flash? Was that hand held? What fil was that?
I have a lot of questions now. If I can land even one of those shots I'm having a party =)
thx
Welcome to the party! Just about everything I shot was hand held. maybe I was bracing myself against a wall or door frame to get a little more stability. HP-5 film, D-76 developer, probably 1/15 or 1/30 wide open. I hate flash and seldom used it. If you are into indoor stuff, explore Acufine developer and HP-5 rated at 3200asa. I have a video on it. Merry Christmas!!
@@asa1000photography bless you for answering my ignorant ass👊🏻
And very happy holidays to you too🙋🏻♂️
only ignorant when you DONT ask!
Indeed, that's true.
I have found some contact prints from before I was born that my dad left me that outshine my best prints.
Just bid on a Pentax V spot meter. I was using a Weston light meter and didn't understand the Ansel system.
Dad left me with some fine lenses that fungicided. I have been cleaning them.
