I know a lot of people struggle with this because they’re more focused on religion rather than relationship. Please know that God doesn’t want you to be so dry with your prayer. He wants to hear you talk to Him like your friend. Talk to Him about your day, your problems. You’ll noticed a HUGE difference in your peace, and awareness.

Knowing what it's like being close to God and him being close to you and suddenly feel so far away from him 💔 life gets so chaotic, I experienced peace I've never head before and that time I was broke. Thank you for your advice on this topic I am a Catholic and for too long I’ve been separated from my faith and I have only recently the past few months been working to restore my faith and be devoted to God and my reasons for that are primarily to help better myself but it’s also a single step towards my goal of getting a significant other so I really want to devote myself to God and lately I’ve been doing that through praying kicking out my pornography problem cold turkey concentrating on reading the Bible starting with the four gospels i’m also watched religious videos on TH-cam and I’ve been going back to church every Sunday but I still want to learn more and all the advice that you’re giving appears helpful but same time it also feels a little overwhelming and unsettling but one of the things I want is to restore my faith in God and despite me being gone from the church for several years I do accept Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior and through him is the only way to heaven.
