looking at JJ's lucky, I never saw lucky ever becoming a cop. he seemd to be on the path of luke. life on the danger side. funny how lucky never told liz anything about his jobs and they as a couple were fine. jason and liz were just like this too but they're relationship never took off. i don't get the writers.
Again its apart of the crappy writing. Anyone who watched GH in the 90s can see that. You're right. They also dragged liz character through the mudd for jasam. They ruined jj Lucky come back (proud he won an emmy though) and so much. They stopped developing the characters. Its all rushed crappy writing and prompting gangter life style. Also sarah brown is the only Carly. They ruined Sarah Browns return. Ah. Its agonizing to watch. I like Kelly Monoco but I cant stand the rushed portrayal of how sam got started. She only now coming into her own I think. I dont watch the show. Just clips.
This is something I often wonder in soaps, if an actor never left and the role didn't get recast would the storylines have been the same? Lucky is one of those character's that I strongly suspect would have take a different path if JJ remained in the role for Lucky to become an adult.
If JJ had stayed in the role, I don't think he would have been a cop. The writers sad he became one to 'rebel' against Luke, but that doesn't fit for me. I think if JJ had stayed a lot of things would have been different. I think the brainwashing story wouldn't have been so drawn out and I don't think they would have had Lucky cheat with Sarah. I think Lucky would have owned some kind of business, but gone off on adventures. Maybe working for Sonny, Jason, anyone at anytime. Just odd little jobs for different reasons. I do think Elizabeth would have kept doing her art. I always thought it was dumb that they took that away from her character. I thought she'd get back to it with Franco, but that didn't happen. Liz could be a nurse and still paint.
I left off for about 15 years...to find out through these clips has been so much fun, but so sad where some of these characters went.
Sonny hardly changed all these years!
