I’m fairly new at junk journaling, but I have to tell you you have inspired me so much with this video. I like the diagonal idea very much. Also, I like your cutting up a piece of ephemera to make it look like it’s behind something you’ve already glued. That’s genius! I’m off to my crafting room to make something similar. Vicky, I love watching and listening as you go through the process of creating a collaged piece in your art journal without a specific plan. Whenever Tim Holtz “people” are used in a piece, I often see a story being created…I thought the use of the craft paper (the beach) with the Distressed Oxide Ink Salvaged Patina (the sea) lends itself to a tale about those three adorable boys enjoying a day at the carnival at the seashore! They had their tickets to ride the big Ferris Wheel (the gears) and enjoy many of the games of chance being offered. “Watch the time! We’re to be home by 4:00!” (the clock.) Your gift of creating such imaginative pieces is amazing! I’m from an island off the cost of South Carolina, USA! 💗

No rules in crafting! Do what makes you happy, that’s what I say!!! These are amazing cards with all the details and layers, the recipient can look at them again and again and always discover something new!

Hi Alyson! Placement of elements is a struggle… so I usually stick with a diagonal to balance things out
