Nice Millencolin poster! And I love your approach to maintenance! I’m the same way and learn as I go!!

Cut a piece of inner tube or other rubber to protect the bike parts. And my bearings have a very thin outer race so you can't press them in using a bevelled socket.

Dude! You freakin Rock!! I loved this and the chances you took, Good stuff, also i'm suppose to get my Trance this week after waiting over 2 months for it to arrive. I like the fact your a Trance Guy.

Hopefully your Trance has now arrived and you’re buzzing to get out there on the trails! Global shortages and delays due to Covid have meant there’s a lot of people itching to get their new bikes!
And I’m no longer a Trance guy after getting a Reign over 14 months ago but the Trance will always have a special place as the bike that taught me how to ride.

Can you mention the link where you get that bearing puller

You are my hero. Shock service is way easier to do than Giant Trance bearings but, WOW, you nailed it with cheap DIY tools, nice job. So complicated, makes me want to sell the full squish and ride off on a Hard Tail :)

Hero might be going a bit far Jeff but thanks! The process wasn't without it's cock-ups, you just didn't see them in the video. Definitely the bearings job is best done with the proper tools!
      Cheers!

Do you know if the Trance 2016 2 needs washers in the frame linkage? Where I can find more info? Thanks in advance

Hi great vids very helpful just as an inquiry how did you pull the bearings from the main frame?

Couple of questions for you: Where did you buy the new set of bearings for your bike? I've got a 2018 Trance and so far the only local place I've found is ShockCraft which has the set for around $180 which seems quite spendy. Second, did you remove all four bearings in the rear triangle by pressing against the back of the opposite bearing? I've got all the others out no problem but I'm worried about bending the alloy frame by doing it this way. As you likely discovered, can't do it the usual way with a large socket on the outside, as the outer surface isn't flat. Thanks!

Might've missed a bit of editing around 15:45. Unless it was intentional to give us a glimpse into your creative process :) I didn't know there were any Fox service agents in Auckland, I'll be sure to send my bits to Lewis & Co when they come due! Previously Rotorua was the closest I could find.

Ummm, ahhh, yes.. intentional editing it was! Average Video Editing Guy is my other “job”!!
To be honest, this one was a bit rushed :)

¡Hola! I can’t remember the bearing sizes as I bought it as a kit.
You could try Shockcraft here in New Zealand as they have great knowledge and stock a full selection.
Your bike would take kit #20

      Hope this helps. Cheers, Adrian

Sorry for the late reply Joel. I bought them thru Trade Me but I’ve seen them on one of the Australian online shops too.

It's just annoying to listen to someone constantly repeat over and over how they don't know what they are doing, and disclaimer this and look away now and the list goes on and on. Either make a video or leave it, it's as simple as that(there has to be a goal to it). I would never assume you are complete shit at this if you just made a video without all the excuses, because you have managed to achieve the goal which you most likely knew well in advance.
I'm just weirded out by all the nonsense in the beginning because it should never be there at all...
