I prefer the Demo Instrumental because of the pitch and it having the claps, but the second verse should have the same melody as the first one tho. It would be less jarring, as we only have 2 verses, so its better to have both have the same instrumentalization for consistency purposes.
The demo version is more beaty and it doesn't fit red velvet concept which is a cute song but with dark meaning . So maybe the producer make it less beaty , and maybe the producer pitch up the music so that their vocal stood up with cute vibe .

The song wasn't cute to begin with anyways. The removed it because they wanna focused on vocal harmonization more so they removed unnecessary sound
They pitched it, had a different beat/instrumental for the parts after the chorus.. and I think they had less or different adlibs
