I did this install yesterday and it works great plus looks awesome! I did the fender eliminator at the same time. There are a couple things I caution future buyers on: 1. Label your screws or you'll waste time scrubbing through the video upon reassembly. 2. It's really f*cking difficult to access and subsequently reinstall the screws where the rear plastic meets the front fairings. Having a flexible screwdriver extension makes it much easier. 3. Take your time pulling off the rear plastic side panels or you can break a tab. Get some double sided 3M foam tape if you do this. I know from prior experiences that the "permanent hold" indoor stuff is strong enough to hold things together without fusing the plastics together permanently like the automotive stuff. 4. When putting the rear side panels back together, it can be easier to remove the grommets from the plastic you pulled off and place them on the frame first. 5. This will DEFINITELY take you longer than 25 minutes. I was super annoyed once I realized this, as I had to cancel plans for later that day. Even the guy in the video takes longer than 25 minutes once you account for all the jump cuts and speed up video. Plan for 2 hours. It would still take me at least an hour even having done it before, because reassembly is finicky.
Thank you for the extra notes for prospective customers. I am sure that your experience can be helpful to others. As far as the time of installation goes, it is impossible to ascertain how long the average customer will take to complete the process. On video it took me longer than 25 minutes to go from start to finish simply because I had to think about the narration points, make them, and move my hands and tools in a way that the camera could capture the detail of the steps. Whevever I am just wrenching, especially on this bike, I can actually do this process much faster than 25 minutes. I do hav quite considerable experience with this particular bike so I would not cite my time as an average installation time.

They were all broken down in small parts and i suck at legos. so when wife got home....it took her 10 seconds to tell me how they go together and that took most of my time and ALSO the CUTTING part was a little difficult. Most likely not. You can check your local laws to make sure. We do sell Y-splitter harnesses that enable plugging in two sets of signals so you can retain your OEM signals alongside the tail light.
Do you mean it's getting water inside? If that is so please contact our customer service department through our website. You are covered under warranty.
The signal functions take current from signaling/hazard circuit. The tail light does not distinguish between hazard and signal input, just like your OEM signals do not. If you have a hazaard function on your bike then the tail light will flash both amber circuits, left and right, when the hazard light switch is turned on.

Just trying to figure out the cheapest way to install these integrated lights and get rid of the ugly fender on my 400, and I'd love to buy your stuff!
hi Bart. is there any way for someone residing in Singapore to get this?
anyone know if this will pass NYS inspection
I love the video but i hate how simple you made it look putting it back in the hole wish there was more in depth with the angle
Hi, can anyone tell me how to adjust Idle on Ninja 400 please?
Do you need to disconnect the battery before hand?
No, that’s not necessary. This video entails the full installation process, no corners were cut and no information was left out.
@TSTindustries Sounds good. Thanks for responding so quick
Is there a way to have the integrated tail lights as well as the indicators still?
Absolutely. We have model specific Y-Style Signal Harness Splitters that enable you to complete that look.
Can this be installed without the relay? or do I need to buy it along with the tail light?
We would highly recommend purchasing our LED Flasher Relay if you don't already have one installed. If you're an International customer we would recommend locating and comparing your OEM flasher relay to the unit we sell to make sure the plug type and pin configuration is the same.
Do you guys offer those tank grips? Or that comes stock? Thanks
Those are Techspec and we do have them in stock. We use them on all our race bikes. We even helped design some models of them because we work closely with the company that manufactures them.
how do we install the load balancing resistors?
You use the included printed directions
do use ship to Australia?
We do.
I'm wondering whether this can be used with the 2021 ninja400 model.
Yup...no difference on the bike since 2018. We recently launched our Nexus front signals for that bike if you want a matching style of front LED signals.
@@TSTindustries I tried ordering the
Hyperpack Bundle for Kawasaki Ninja 400 2018+ in your website through a relative I have in the U.S. and he said the said parts would come 2-3 months from the date he would order or something. Is this true?
@@jvvelasquez8586 for all parts in stock we have a one business day processing time. This typically yields a 1-5 day transit time beyond the processing day, that being within the con USA, and no weather delays, etc. If something is out of stock we don't provide estimated ship dates, we just don't take the order until back in stock. No system of ours would have quoted several months in shipping.
How did you mount the relay?
Here you go: th-cam.com/video/rtbdeuUVlP4/w-d-xo.html
Hey just a question. Could i change this tail light for ninja 650?
No, this is a vastly different shape taillight. We do produce a 650 specific model and also have videos showing how to install it.
I want this but does the fender eliminator bend back so it can sit flush with the back of the bike Bc I don’t want it out
Alright...check this out. We recently launched the undertail low mount fender eliminator for these bikes. You can see installation video here th-cam.com/video/H9YtTabjdQI/w-d-xo.html . And then you can follow the link in the description to the product page.
Where can I get the white adapters for the turn signals? The assembly I got came with the rounded off ends . Bullet end wires?
Where did you purchase this tail light you are describing?
@@TSTindustries ebay
@@waukeeplayer54 if you got a light without connectors then you bought a dupe from someone who is selling fakes. Either that or you got a used one, or perhaps not a TST unit.
Probably a knock off. I got to it work it looks great.
Since the turn signals are Integrated in the tail light do we still need to put turn signals near the license plate ?
You would have to confirm and check your local laws.
TSTindustries all you guys at tst are legends thanks for the reply and thanks for your detail in these videos , I’m new to bike world and you guys are extremely helpful
Is it illegal to not have license plate lights?
It depends where you live. Fortunately we offer license plate lights for any setup that you can configure on our website.
FINALLY
is it DOT approved?
Not at this time.
Jw do u guys sell Y connector for the signal turn?
Yes we do
Do I still need the resistor if I purchase these with load balancing resistors included ?
Are you asking about the relay?
TSTindustries yes sorry the relay
@@ejwavy3010 a little late… but, on their website it states this “Only include Load Balancing Resistors in your order if you are not purchasing an LED Flasher Relay with your new Integrated Tail Light or you have not previously installed an LED Flasher Relay on your motorcycle.”
@@leanofficial1688 I figured that out shortly after the comment lol. I installed this and the new front turn signals🔥🔥🔥
@@ejwavy3010 any trouble with the law enforcement? Really looking forward to eliminating the stock blinkers but don’t want any issues regarding that
Wish I could do that which one would you use on a 2021 kawasaki ninja 400 passion red
I don't understand your question. This tail light fits on all Ninja 400 bikes regardless of color of the fairings.
@@TSTindustries I'm asking would you use the clear or the smoked tail light
@@jasondennis256 ah, gotcha. I think that the red bike would pair nicely with the brilliance of the clear lens. And then adding our clear lens Nexus signals would really set it off.
@@TSTindustries ok awesome thanks for your opinion
Fuck yeah i just installed mine and love it, now to see how long it lasts
Where i can buy that tail light?
Follow the link in the description of the video.
@@TSTindustries okay..that integrated is epic
You can inbox engr Hubbard on Facebook
Fits the 2024 Ninja 500?
No, that is a completely different tail light.
Do you guys ship in 🇮🇳?
India? Yesss!!!
is this legal in new hampshire?
This is so badass, unfortunately not street legal in my state :(
You can always use it as a tail light / running light only by leaving the turn signals disconnected.
Are these street legal in California? I know they are picky with the distance in between blinkers.
Most likely not. You can check your local laws to make sure. We do sell Y-splitter harnesses that enable plugging in two sets of signals so you can retain your OEM signals alongside the tail light.

What are all the tools needed for this?
All tools are mentioned on the title screen at the following timestamp.
th-cam.com/video/e8UzqKMsGIY/w-d-xo.html
Will this fit the 2020 model?
Yep!
Can I get it with Ninja250?
nice
I’ve got this in my ninja, it looks amazing but it leaks so much
Do you mean it's getting water inside? If that is so please contact our customer service department through our website. You are covered under warranty.
What do you mean it leaks?
Are hazard lights there for the ninja 400
In the i integrated tail light
The signal functions take current from signaling/hazard circuit. The tail light does not distinguish between hazard and signal input, just like your OEM signals do not. If you have a hazaard function on your bike then the tail light will flash both amber circuits, left and right, when the hazard light switch is turned on.
Not that I don't trust build quality... I would make sure it all works as it should before putting it all back together... But that's just me 🤔
How to remove blinking stop light
Use the button on the enclosure that has "program" inscription. Toggle through all the light functions until you find the one you like
Can it work at zx25r? Thanks
Unfortunately we do not have access to the ZX25R in the United States so we cannot confirm or deny fitment and functionality but we do believe it will work.
yesss!
Is this allowed in germany?
do you know by now. Im also looking for an answer
Today I learned I will never have another motorcycle with fairings
🤣🤣
Does this work with the 2021?
Yes, there will be a separate video uploaded for the 2021 model.
@@TSTindustries I couldn't find that separate 2021 video for the n400, can you link it?
@@nammmers there are no changes from 2018 to 2021. Maybe the signal connectors are different but that will be still same connector location just with different plugs.
You could get defected for this in Australia, which is madness. I had a similar unit on my Ninja and was defected for it, plus the cop added the lack of a rear reflector as a bonus, smh. Something about the spacing between left and right indicators needing to be a certain minimum distance apart to be easily discernible to other drivers.
Hey mate late reply I know but I just got a ninja 400 myself and was looking to buy this but still using the OEM rear turn signals. Were you defected due to the lights being blacked-out or just the turn signals being too close?
Something about that intro music turns me off
i like it

lots of emoji...I hope that means you like it
Does this work for the 2023 ninja 400?
We had a 2023 in the shop last week. Even though we did not install one of these lights on that bike we visually inspected the physical shape of the light and connectors. We concluded that the light is compatible with the 2023 model of the Ninja 400
@@TSTindustries thank you just ordered some parts
nice
Yup, I feel the same.
