Hi, this is the wedding of one of my cousin's, it was very emotional seeing the faces of people I've had no contact with for 30/40years. On first watch I immediately recognised my aunty Val and cousin Nicholas and my grandma, who I've missed terribly. Cousin's, aunties, uncles !! Wow.
Thank you so much for doing this. 😍

Thank you Gemma, It is a real privilege to connect the films like this. I have so many that I collect then put on my channel and so often even just finding the location is almost impossible, so when this sort of thing happens, it is fantastic. I buy films at car boots or now on eBay and I often wonder how these once treasured memories end up lost in this way. I think these kinds of media bridge the gap between the personal experience and the universal, we all have this type of photo or film or memories and recognise our own experience in someone else's record, but it is extra special when the anonymous film I bought on an ebay auction finds it's way home in this way.

Yes, Liam, that's her 2nd baby, Phil. I remember you and Josh and Matty from a visit when we were younger. Hope you're all good, all things considered. XXxxx

At the risk of being a party pooper, I suggest they might not want to see it again. If they've let it go they are either no longer with us or more likely no longer together.

Hi Nick, This is a story that actually has a happy ending. I posted this video on social media, local groups to the area it was filmed and have identified the couple who are still happily married. Apparently they had never seen the film as it was shot by a friend of his father and they where delighted to see it. He showed it to his son and it was the first he had seen moving images of his Grandfather as he passed away just after he had been born. I was able to send them the unedited footage from the scanner as a mp4 file and it is very rewarding to be able to reconnect an "orphaned film" with those who were in it.

      Seriously mate?!!
There's a million different reasons why these things happen. And even if your suggestion was the reason, it does not matter.
This bloke has done a nice thing which has allowed out of touch family to have a few pleasant memories.
Just what's needed with the world as it is I reckon.
So I would suggest to you that if you don't have anything nice to say - then don't say anything. 😉

@@heathersutton3822 I think it's reasonable to suggest that if someone loses sight of their video their may be a good reason for it but, I'm glad in this instance, it's had a happy ending.
