*I went to their concert a long time ago. Nick played this song. And I don't normally cry that much, not a crier. But, when he started playing it live, I actually did start crying. (luckily my mom went to the bathroom), lol. So she didn't see me crying. But it was actually very touching & he spoke before he played.*

I feel so emotional because my dad had diabetes but I always forget which type. He went home last summer because it was just his to go. I love and miss him so much and I always had respect for him, Nick, and everyone with diabetes ever since my dad was diagnosed. He changed his diet after that day and was always healthy. I can definitely sympathize with the lyrics in Nick's song because I've seen it first hand with my dad.

I know that this song is about Nick's diabetes. And his story is so inspirational to others going through the same thing. Another thing I love about this song is that it's written openly enough that anyone can form their own interpretation of it. Nick has even said that he wants people to be able to apply the lyrics to themselves and find their own meaning as well, even if they're not dealing with the exact same thing he did.
I was diagnosed with a form of autism (I'm not naming which one because it's a problematic name but I'll give you a hint: the person its named after was a German Nazi, and Nazis are disgusting and evil and I refuse to refer to my diagnosis by that name) when I was around 7 or 8. I can take the lyrics and relate them to my story as well. Even tho it's not the same, and autism isn't a physical illness but a mental disorder, most of these lyrics can still apply. And this song has helped me get through so many tough situations as a kid and even today, I still find myself turning to it when I need inspiration to keep going
If I could meet Nick, I would tell him thank you. Not only for sharing his story, but for also allowing other people to relate their own stories to his lyrics as well. He truly is an inspiration.

I have that with my ADHD... I always feel like people never fully understand how I feel. It also is pretty much seen as just the hyper aspect but it is so so so much more... this song puts in words that I (and you, and whoever feels the same) has something that’s not always recognised... and we can’t fix it, but we’ll just wait and try.
And the fact that Nick wrote it very open so people would feel connected to it even if it isn’t about the same reason... it’s just a beautiful song, the feeling comes in really deeply, but in a beautiful way.

For me with my vertigo I feel like people never fully understand that I can have a vertigo episode any moment in time and for me I feel that I do a good job taking care of myself but today I had a vertigo episode and it’s such a struggle and nick is truly an inspiration to me! I know what nick goes through I experience low blood sugar and low blood pressure and it’s not easy dealing with it but you have to take it one day at a time! This is a beautiful song, the feeling of sadness is what I experience when my health gets out of control! This song really connects deeply to me! I know vertigo can’t be fixed but I hope it can be one day

I was in a car accident in 2016 (I crashed my car and almost took out someone's front porch)
About a month later while I was volunteering at a summer camp I had a seizure, I had to miss a good Chunk of the day at the ER while they did tests and stuff
Fast forward I went to see a neurologist and was diagnosed with two types of seizures
Drs said it's possible a seizure could have caused me to wreck my car (cause I don't remember any of it, gave the wrong age to the paramedics and couldn't remember where I'd been headed)
It has been a real rough battle and it's one I'm stuck with continuing to fight and "A little bit longer" was one of many songs I could extremely relate to and listened to them all the time! (I'd been a long time Jonas brothers fan before all of this, I was just now able to really relate to it)

I think This song is about his diabetes. For example he says and you don't know what it's like to feel so low aka this mean blood sugar is dropping which is horrible and doesn't feel good or at least in my case. Then he says waiting on a cure. We've been waiting in a cure for diabetes and then the doctor said a little bit longer and he'll be fine which means we'll get used to it. This song is so motivational and it is what is keeping my self esteem up when j have a bad day because on my type 1 diabetes

I am 15 and chronically ill. Every day is a struggle to get out of bed. Bot only do I have to convince my family in okay I have to convince myself. The doctors still cant figure out why im so sick. Its been almost a month since ive kept anything down, and I'm not sure what to do. My mom keeps saying we need to go to the hospital but if we do that then it wins. If we do that then im the sick girl and I cant lose. Ive been fighting for so long, and all ive ever had was at least im bot in the hospital. I kbow its what I need to do but I just can't.

First issue with this comment is saying that it was hard for you when he was the one diagnosed with a chronic illness. Second thing wrong with this comment is mentioning your aunts death, this is not considerate at all for others living with type 1, many of which will be listening to this song. Im sorry for your loss, but think before you type
