You don't know how corrupt they are. They have reasons to be afraid. Nigeria's Government is the reason Nigeria is not one of the greatest Nations on earth.
      (1) Our former President was supposed to have restarted Nigeria's National Carrier. He borrowed some planes from Kenya, painted them NIGERIA AIR. After he left office, nothing else was heard of the project. Of course, the budgeted $3 billion dollars was all spent.
      (2) During a routine audit, paper work showed that a Governor built an Airport to the tune of $1 billion. The people are still searching for the location of the Airport.
      (3) Not too long ago, another Governor was simply taking millions of dollars directly from his State Treasury to pay for his children's school fees in the US, and freely purchasing real estates. He owned 100 luxurious homes. He didn't even bother to disguise his stealing as 'road construction.'
They are doing everything to prevent protest, or even to restructure the system that allows such massive corruption.
The only successful areas in Nigeria are areas where the Government has no involvement, such as music and movies. That's why we laugh at countries that credit government investment for the success of our entertainment industry.

My question is; If the president addresses the nation and youths in particular, what will he say? Nothing New. Nigeria needs no address, NIGERIA needs reversal of governance to quick positive direction. He knows all these and decided to be flying abroad, wasting resources on fruitless meetings while his country is on fire. He was once doing party whilst his citizens especially children were slaughtered in the north. Does he even know the prices of food in the market? If he knows does it affect him and his family? No. Does the price of fuel affect him? No. Does insecurity even affect him? No. How many times has he visited his people in IDP camps? Hmmmm. What values have over 40 ministers added to his administration? None. Has the refinery he promised would begin to function in December 2023 started? No. Has he even visited these refineries by himself? No. Has Nigeria started meeting the OPEC quota to boost the revenue? No. Has the electricity supply become better? No. Buy has the electricity tarriff increased in this harsh economy? Hmmm. It's not time for blame games. Just fix the country, even if it's the fuel prices and electricity, i believe the protest would naturally not hold. Hunger is the chief sponsor

This man Gabam is intelligent just as so many northerners but my challenge with most of them is that, they are so tribalistic n hypocritical. Reasons (1) the only person he praised in Tunibu cabinet is his northern brother the NSA. (2) Where were all these Northerners when their brother Buhari destroyed this great country Nigeria for 8 good years after receiving it in very good sharpe (3) The northern Nigeria is naturally blessed with so much natural resources just as the Niger Delta region but they all left their untouched or shared with them producing the most numbered presidents in Nigeria yet the insecurity n poverty is worst in the North then other regions of Nigeria. Tell us what the northern president done so far in changing Nigeria positively with so many them in powers. Yes i support no protest cos nobody can tell the ends styles of it when most youths are deeply angry 😡 on daily bases. Let Mr President n political leaders start the actions from their overloaded take homes that's killing the nation more. What are our governors assuredly doing in Nigeria?, they are the biggest problems we have not the presidency. Peace 🕊️ be upon our great nation Nigeria.

Truly Tinibu should address the nation.
Let him tell us how much he wants to sell fuel to NIGERIANS.
Since he told us subsidy is gone he never pegged a price on fuel the NNPCL keep on hiking the product in collaboration with independent marketers.
Tinibu should tell us how much fuel should be sold, let it be fixed and let the national assembly enact a law that will make it a criminal offence for any petroleum dealer to hike fuel price above the president stipulated price.
Sir,you said it all, also Dangote refinery should be given crude to refine.
Also in this protest all armed agents of government should not use life bullets in case the protest becomes problematic, they should be armed with rubber bullets, pepper spray or water spray.
The use of life bullets during protest can make a peaceful protest turn bloody or voilence.
So life bullets should be banned in the protest arena.

I have noticed how Tinubu is trying to downplay excuses. I have eyes; I can see him coaxing Nigerians to forget about our looming problem, which is hunger. Giving traditional rulers money, going about threatening people with oro, even with the military and police going about to bribe people to destabilize a peaceful protest-fine, nobody wants what happened during the EndSARS to happen again. You can be reading meanings into the past and expect to have a great future. I also know that without the past, there is no future, but Tinubu has to clean up this mess he started in the present. I believe he knows what to do if he doesn't want the protests. And for those of you collecting bribes from him, coming here to talk trash, that money they gave you will finish soon, so don't put your happiness on something that will not last forever. His policies are not working; let him rephrase his statement and reverse the fuel price, open the borders so food can come in, and fight insecurity. Without this, we must protest.

Politics is all about the economy and the people. It is naive and dumb fir any person to say that any protest on the state of the economy is politically motivated. It like saying that the Pope has no connection with religion.

The African leaders with the few exceptions rule the people almost in the same pattern: You ask people to vote for you to come rule, theoretically means to come work,, "really hard work" but the result is always opposite,,, cos they end up being comfortable. Mismanaging the state Funds while enriching themselves at the expence of Nation. Nigeria is a giant of African and due to it's multicultural, ethnic, tribal and geographical differencial, turns to be the most volatile (time bomb) nation in Africa. Therefore, should not be compared with any other nation in the Continent let alone Kenya. Therefore, a peaceful protest could have been good but is absolutely utopia in Nigeria and a big "chaos" during and after such protest is inevitable, which would to turn to affect the whole sub-regions of west Africa. President Tunubu must henceforth, go listen to suffering people to ensure peace and serve as a role Model Africas!!!

My question here is,what brings army into this issue?
Their very job now is to go to an exile to northern forests and fight along with this insecurity we are acquire presently which this protest the issue is included about ,no Constitution gives the privilege to the army to address people on going fight for their right, because we said we are going to conduct the protest not chaos that's it

The selfishness being shown by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team is too crystal clear for Nigerians to accept deceitful love Tinubu is pretending to have for Nigerians. The only thing that can stop the imminent nationwide protest is for the president and his team to stop forthwith being overtly selfish and start being sensitive to Nigerians.

Not division, but decentralization. If the US was structured like Nigeria, it will also be a failed State like Nigeria. Decentralizing the country is the only way the economy will diversify, create new industries and sustainable employment, rescue Nigeria from dangerous dependence on oil, raise the value of the currency and rescue the country from insecurity and chaos. We have examples of Advanced Nation to guide us. Instead, we are running an over-centralized system that cripples progress.
