The AH Throne:
The Achievement Hunter throne has seen kings come and go, but it has lasted throughout most of the king's reigns. It was dismantled during the de-throning of King Gavin because of missing gold. The throne will probably be rebuilt by the time King Ryan III comes into power.
Scratch shortest dethroning: King Michael's was a couple minutes shorter.

Totally agree. I enjoyed watching the other guys be King too, but Gavin seems to have put quite a bit of thought into these. They're all rather entertaining mini-challenges.
i mean he has been waiting to be king for like 30 episodes he's probably had some time to think about it. i think he decided to be competent for once just to throw everyone off!

I really don't get why there was an argument about Michael's cannon or why it was called a failure. I mean, sure it exploded and killed him, BUT it did fire a piece of TNT that took down Gavin.

Let me go through my thought process I just went through:
1. Why is there a Minecraft Let's Play? They only do those on Friday.
2. Oh my god it's Friday
3. Why aren't I drunk?
For A future king video, they should have all the Kings(after Jack won one) choose a "knight" from Kerry, Lindsay, Caleb, Kdin, Matt, or Jeremy. Then they should each have a castle, and the last king left wins.

*SPOILERS*
For everyone who is so excited for the return of king ryan; do you honestly think it's gonna be better the original? The mentality that because something was so good it automatically makes the sequel better. Which usually isn't the case, remember the matrix? anchorman? ghostbusters? the freaking crow? People run out of ideas. what made the originals so good was the creativity.
It's the same thing with CoD which, as far as i'm concerned, hasn't had an original thought since CoD 4. Which is a very popular opinion. Maybe a less popular one, but more opinionated is BO:II, which i liked.
But i digress, sequels aren't always a good idea and I for one was rooting for jack this round.
You forget, Ryan was king in episodes 60-61 and 89-90 and the second time he was king was much better than his first time. I'm not saying that this third time will be 100% better, but it doesn't mean that he's out of ideas just yet.
Michael's TNT canon was the definition of "Mission failed Successfully"
Challenge 1, Ray: In his memory, blaze dat herb. Bring a bowl, wheat, and a blaze rod to ray's memorial in Geoff's house.
Challenge 2, Michael: Kill Gavin who has full iron (if gavin survives 5 minutes or everyone else dies, gavin wins)
Challenge 3, Gavin: Everyone gets a lava bucket. Last one standing wins.
Challenge 4, Jack: Go from 0 food to full food, no veggies.
Challenge 5, Ryan: First person to kill someone with raw beef.
Challenge 6, Geoff: Now we all know geoff loves drinking and remembering how to craft stuff, so everyone is given access to *all* the potion ingredients and they have to make a potion of slowness and a potion of weakness.
Challenge 7, Lindsay: Breed a baby kitty. Because cats.
Challenge 8, Jeremy: Stand tall for the Doolster and build a tower to max height, bonus points if you can rap as you do it.
Challenge 9, The Risemonger: In honor of his shirty glory, make a dyed leather chestpiece.
Challenge 10, Keeeerry: find or craft red wool, white wool, black wool, and yellow wool. (If Rwby references aren't allowed, first person to touch the ender dragon egg)
Challenge 11, Matt Bragg: make something annoying with redstone.
Challenge 12, The fans: Now make it with 2 less redstone
Challenge 13, Achievement City: grab a piece of wool that's been left in their house in achievement city
Challenge 14, Achievement Shitty: bring your bed from achievement shitty back to the king's court
Challenge 15, Dark Achievement City: Blow up their house in dark acheivement city with that bed
Challenge 16, Find and kill the king
None of that sounds interesting to watch.

They always call Gavin stupid and stuff but so far these are the best challenges out of everyone so...

This was by far the best and one of my favorite in the King series, with Mad King Ryan. I really enjoyed Gavin's take on things. The challenges were simple yet effective and very entertaining (even the ones he made on a whim). It had more of a minigame feel to it and I like how some of them even required some kind of thought process, it wasn't just about a fight to the death. It was all that Mario Party knowledge. Lol. Aside from Jack, i've enjoyed everyone's version of the King installments because it does well in reflecting their personalities by how they organize everything. This has been the best thing they've done with Minecraft. Just like the Heists with GTAV. I'm looking forward to the next ones.
Yeah, it's always cool when each person in Achievement Hunter gets to make their own version of a Let's Play. Sometimes it gets a little bit boring when it's always just Geoff and Gavin making the ideas. All of these guys are creative with their ideas. I do like this one and the King Ryan ones better because they're more interesting than, for example, "Go make an anvil," or something like that.
Ryan ALMOST got the cannon to work; all he needed was to put the redstone torch on the same block as the button and it would have worked.

It's also called pathetic fallacy in literature terms. Everyone liked that term in A Level English...
King task ideas:
- Defend the court:
Each player gets an iron sword (maybe stone) and stand around the throne. The king spawns in as many creepers as the game will allow around the edge of the court then stands on the throne, motionless. The task ends when all competitors or all creepers are dead and the winner is whoever has the most gunpowder. If you die you are out and if the king is killed a name is drawn out of a hat to see who loses a block (if the player doesn't have a block their obsidian is taken away).
- The man who can't be moved:
Everyone stands on the logo while Plan G is activated and last one alive wins.
- Building bridges
A small sandbar is built 16 blocks out to sea (distance isn't important). Each player is given an axe, 3 sapplings and 3 bone meal to build a bridge. Other materials can be used but have to gathered themselves. After 10 minutes the king chooses the nicest looking bridge to cross. Non-functional bridges (ones that don't reach the sandbar) are disqualified.

Each player must climb geoffs house by not using the ladder but by using blocks they mine
How about a warm up task of a similar nature where they have to go to the build height to collect a piece of diamond ore that would be up there "diamonds in the sky"

The problem with defend the court is the whole thing would be destroyed in less than a minute

Ryan if you are paying attention hear this. In one particular trial, have these rule be instated.
1. Change everyone's skin to be the same.
2. They cannot talk and must remain silent.
3. They must kill a certain person, but if they kill the wrong person. They lose a gold block from their tower. For each wrong person, subtract one gold block.
(edit) It would be a particularly cruel improvement to your original idea from before.

I wrote this when the video came out and I write this again: michael's cannon worked perfectly and he should have won that challenge instantly.
Perfectly working cannons don't tend to blow up. So, although impressive, it didn't technically work

If they had to look away first it would have been a bit better but everyone started with their bow drawn on whoever they wanted out with no way to avoid it.

So I am not sure if they are going to do more King Let's Plays, unless they plan on doing it until everyone is king, or it just could be one of those Let's Plays that can be played out. Either way, if they do I am pretty excited, (Achievement Hunter) was really good last time, probably the best king yet. I like their King Let's Plays, so I am never against another King :)

Micheal just invented the first Anti-Aircraft gun in Minecraft.
The mistake that everyone made with the TNT Cannon is that there are actually two separate triggers; one for the charge, and one for the shot itself. You attach the shot to a separate string of redstone than the charge, and you flick the lever for the shot roughly 3-4 seconds after flicking the lever for the charge (making sure that the shot is detached from its host block and ready to be propelled IMMEDIATELY before the charge detonates).
The model isn't flawed, they just built it incorrectly.
Or instead of 2 triggers, use repeaters to delay the ammo.

This was simply amazing. I loved it a lot. It's actually my second favorite King reign, first being Mad King Ryan. I was really hoping Ryan would win because he kinda got screwed in the first part, and because his madness fits the position so well. I would call the next king video, Crazy Mad King Ryan.
Or "The Return of the Mad King". A fitting title and a great reference at the same time.

Here's a King idea: the King tells everyone to leave the room and then switches the controls on everyone's game. This would work best if every person has a diffrent command scheme. Now the King oders his minions to fetch him something, something that's reasonobaly hard to get and that would require crafting. One such item could be a set of leather or iron armor.
I love that Gavin comes up with 15 unique challenges and the somehow the only possible way for him to run out of ideas happens
