For us a stat C-section is so common that we forget how terrifying it can be for the patient. When you see them running around like chaos, everyone actually has a delegated role in stat C-sections with the goal of getting baby out within 5 minutes from the time it's called. It's actually quite an amazing process to watch from the outside how quickly a team can work to save a baby. I'm so sorry you had so much trauma. But I have taken so much from your videos that I plan to apply with my patients. In particular, I am so passionate about psychiatric needs during pregnancy. Colleen, I’m a nurse on a high risk labor and delivery floor! So happy little Wes and Maisy were ok, I can’t imagine how scary that situation is from the family’s perspective. Quick question! I’ve always wondered how you were able to be awake through the c-section? In my experience, every cord prolapse, the patient has to be asleep under general anesthesia because there is no time for them to get an epidural. Were you able to get an epidural in the OR before they took babies out? Love you ❤
Thank God for your the nurses and doctors. They do so much during those emergencies and for months after. I had a 25 weeker, 1lb 5oz at birth. It was the hardest time of my life but looking back all I feel is gratitude.
!!!CORD PROLAPSE STORY!!! First I have to say our babies were originally due only a few days apart and I was so thankful to have YOU to go through my pregnancy with! ❤ I was induced at 37w4d. I labored for about 24 hours and only dilated to 3cm. They decided to break my water at that point. All was well. Then I decided to get in the big bouncy ball. The nurses noticed with each bounce his heart rate would drop so I got back in bed. Then his heart rate would drop with each contraction which obviously was concerning so they decided to check me. The second the dr was positioned to check I heard her yell.. CORD! And shit went from zero to 100 REAL. QUICK. machines were unplugged.. nurses running around.. medical language being thrown about. The dr said to me..her hand still inside, we have to do a C-section. I just said go go! Let’s go!! I knew exactly what had happened because of YOUR BIRTH STORY! I was rushed out of my room, doctor riding on the bed with me, hand still inside holding the cord? I don’t even know lol.. and into the OR where I was COMPLETELY put out for the birth of my son. Despite trying to years to get pregnant, resorting to a successful first round of IVF, and having this grand idea of a magical vaginal birth that was all but that.. I had a healthy perfect baby. It was the scariest thing of my life! Glad all of our babies are here safe and thank you for being in the back of my mind reassuring me that it was going to be ok! Love ya!
Omg! So happy to hear you and baby are ok! Not even kidding just learned about cord prolapse I’m in nursing school. And yes the doctor was holding it so it wouldn’t cut any more circulation off. It’s awesome they can do it
I have a very similar story! My nurse had to jump on top of me and hold my daughters head up off the cord through the whole surgery until she was born. So scary!
The doctor kept the hand inside your vagina to lift the baby's head off the cord so the cord is not squeezed so the oxygen keeps going to the baby. Cord prolapse is a really scary emergency that L&d nurses are prepared for. From the outside it's cool to see how fast everyone works and gets baby out in minutes. Every second counts
I remember watching your birth vlog with the twins racking my brain when you were casually doing your hair getting ready after your water broke. Like when you know what happens at the end of a movie but the character doesn’t.
I’m so thankful you decide to share everything about your pregnancies. It doesn’t scare me, it teaches me. It’s making me aware of the possibilities so that way I’m not ever blindsided by things that can happen and I think that’s probably one of the scariest things when it comes to pregnancy’s. You actually don’t know anything until you’re pregnant. But recently people are so open about talking about it that it makes me feel more prepared. So thank you for that!
I love Colleen so much, I really feel she is one of the few genuine/herself on TH-cam, compared to those that only show the "good" all the time. She explains her struggles and just honest daily life and it makes her so much more human and relatable than other content creators. Im glad we have people like her on the platform
I never wanted to post about your cord prolapse but I’m a nurse and the one thing I remember the most from my maternity class was that! My instructor said it’s so severe if you feel it, you are not supposed to remove your hand and go to the OR and keep the baby’s head pushed off the cord till the c section is done! Wesley being here is 100% a miracle!
Tortilla Talk! I just learned on Miss Rachel that butterflies don't sleep, but they rest. It just reminded me of you and how you just rest for 10 minutes sometimes. And how your kids all love butterflies! You're the butterfly!
im so happy you’re here from your birth experience and that westley is alright, its very scary, im so thankful both are great! i had a breech baby, preeclampsia, hemorrhaging, and hypermesis gravidarum, and a emergency c section at 37 wks on the dot. so much trauma but im so happy i got to live life with my baby, i thought id die right after having my baby its a feeling you never forget
I loved being pregnant, and loved giving birth (without epidural or pain meds. She was almost born on my toilet) but now it’s been 4 years since I’ve had a period due to endometriosis and PCOS. And all I want is another baby. Everyone’s struggles are different. But they’re still struggles. Love you so much colleen! You are a warrior!!

Idk maybe it's me but i could def tell a difference and that's why Colleen is the queen ✌️🥰
I have 2 kids & for both pregnancies Me & you were both pregnant at the same time. So I have always enjoyed watching your videos. You’re so relatable & you helped me feel less alone with my second pregnancy because it wasn’t an easy one. & I also had a very traumatic birth experience too. I actually just read the notes/summary from my nurses & doctors & WOW I’m so lucky both me & my baby are alive. Thank you for sharing all that you do. & being so relatable you have no idea how much you help me & others❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Being an EMT, and familiar with OB emergencies I want you to understand what exactly a prolapse cord really means, and why it’s extremely dangerous. The cord will kink and cut off blood supply and oxygen to the baby. This is why it’s extremely important to be transported by ambulance so they can transport and relieve the pressure from the cord prolapse. We are highly trained and skilled to handle this emergency situation… no need to be afraid now because Maisey is safe and sound. 😊 Thank you for sharing your birth stories with us!
Colleen, I rarely comment on your vlogs b/c I watch them on the TV, but I just wanted to tell you how much I admire you. The way you blazed your own trail creating Miranda. How besotted you are with your children. The courage to put a bit of your life online. Your vlogs are the best part of my day.
Tortilla talk Q: I'm feeling nostalgic and nosy. I love a lot of the same 90s/2000s things that you do. What was your favorite stuff from when you were a teenager? Toys, shows, movies, fashion trends, music. I grew up watching/reading a lot of Mary kate and ashley stuff - what was your favorite movie or TV series or book of them? On a side note - I've been watching for about a decade and I love you so much. You're so inspiring and wonderful and I'm so proud of everything you've accomplished. ❤️
Today I really realized how much I love catching your vlogs. I love how real you are even when it's not pretty. Thanks for being a light in the world by just being you
I love hearing you talk about your c-section experience. I had a c-section with my son, it was a completely different experience and honestly very preventable, I just didn’t have a good medical team. But hearing other people talk about their c-sections helps me cope with how traumatizing that experience was for me.
Please include what your role in the birthing part is as well. If your pregnancy is high risk, and your water breaks, do not prolong treatment! The cord was prolapsed at home, too, if it was to the extent it was at the hospital. You are one fortunate mom. Things could've turned out so much worse. NEVER delay treatment. There's no time for a vlogging, eating, curling your hair, or anything. The lives of your babies should always be the most important.
You were sooo pretty in your pink dress and your hair was extra gorgeous - the bangs fit perfectly. You remind me of Linda Cardellini since you got your bangs. So pretty.
Colleen, you're so awesome! I wish that you could be as confident as Miranda! I didn't think you were awkward, but there was definitely a difference between you and her. You created Miranda AND 3 incredible kiddos - you have it going on girl!👏🏻🤗🥰
As a fellow Jellycat enthusiast/collector it warms my heart watching Maisy fall in love with the Jellycat brand and understandably so because it is thee softest, cuddliest, well-made plushie brand there is out there!!! 🫶🏼🤭🥰
I love the behind the scenes stuff! It’s so so cool to see! You’re so relatable and you showing the red carpet and interviews is letting me live vicariously through you. And I love how you tell us you were nervous and uncomfy, but girl you killed it! So funny.
Who is cutting onions over here? Daaamn, I burst into tears from happiness when I saw you walking on the red carpet. You deserve so much attention and appreciation. I've never watched Miranda videos I just watch the vlog channel, and I sincerely love you. You are an amazing and lovely human being. Much love from Bulgaria
Yeah thank God Wesley was ok, I mean things probably would have been more ok if ya know when your water broke early with a high risk twin pregnancy you rushed to the hospital like your doctor told you instead of eating, doing your hair for hours, taking pictures and vlogging... I'm sure that had nothing to do with your son's cord prolapse and your babies almost dying
@@liz-jj5tz Because Colleen doesn't get to play the "poor me" card when her selfish narcissistic actions almost caused the death of her children and she still ignores them half the time and calls them the "effing twins" So that her fans can wake up and see what a monster she is
It was from watching your videos on the birth of the twins & Jessica's pregnancy videos where she described her experience with polyhydromnios that helped me be more prepared for the complications with my second born who was a C-section because I got risked out of my providers care due to the extra fluid, him being breech & the risk of prolapse. My provider was so careless about how she delivered the news of the added risks that even knowing what a prolapsed cord & polyhydromnios was was still really scary. I had a great experience with C-section (I've also done both ways) & am glad to be able to relate with a lot of your families experiences/ have been able to learn from them & your willingness to share. It really helped me.

It was the hardest time of my life but looking back all I feel is gratitude.
!!!CORD PROLAPSE STORY!!!
First I have to say our babies were originally due only a few days apart and I was so thankful to have YOU to go through my pregnancy with! ❤
I was induced at 37w4d.
Love ya!
Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you both are okay :)
Honestly Colleen doesn't give herself enough credit. She looked absolutely stunning 😍
Colleen you and your videos are my ultimate comfort zone, thanks for sharing bits of your life with us ❤ It's legit the best way to end my day when I see there's a new vlog before sleep!
I love hearing Colleen talk about her red carpet experience. Compared to "other celebrities" who find the red carpet season a big yawn, annoying, so much "i could be doing something else better than this" kind of attitude, where Colleen makes it so real and i just love her for that. Idk maybe it's me but i could def tell a difference and that's why Colleen is the queen ✌️🥰
I have 2 kids & for both pregnancies
Me & you were both pregnant at the same time.

When Flynn says “nuffin’” to answer Colleen he sounds so British 😂😂 so funny
So pretty.
You walking the Red Carpet was sweet and then Miranda just being Miranda to the fullest is so funny!!!! So glad you both got to do the walk!💋💋
Colleen, you're so awesome! I wish that you could be as confident as Miranda! I didn't think you were awkward, but there was definitely a difference between you and her. You created Miranda AND 3 incredible kiddos - you have it going on girl!👏🏻🤗🥰
Colleen you are so great at all you do and so informative it helps a lot of people! Love to the family and kory!
Thank you for educating me about the cord stuff! I usually don’t stick around for the ending conversations and this was good!
Why do you feel the need to say all of this?
@@liz-jj5tz Because Colleen doesn't get to play the "poor me" card when her selfish narcissistic actions almost caused the death of her children and she still ignores them half the time and calls them the "effing twins"
So that her fans can wake up and see what a monster she is
Oh my gos this look looks so good! Obsessed. The bangs and the dress were made for each other. So happy for you
Jessica: “It would be a long walk, I was thinking about that”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love the look of admiration that Wesley has for Flynn😍 you can see he looks up to Flynn as a role model. I love all your close bonds you have with each other 🥰
i LOVE the bangs. also, you are my lifeline. i wouldn’t be here without you, i love you and thank you for doing what you do. ❤️
Omg I loveeeed what you did in the kca! You’re the best!
I love how Gus is just watching you in the stairs while you telling about you kca experience
I love that you are talking about this. One of my friends just lost her boy and girl twins at 20 weeks pregnant. Thanks for being you
I loved your pony with your bangs!!! You looked so pretty!
COLLEEN!!!! I've watched you and your journey for more years than I can even remember. I rarely comment because I'm weird and I get stressed about it, but I'M COMING TO SEE YOU IN RALEIGH and I'm probably going to cry. That is all. Thank you for being such a warm presence in all of our lives all these years!
COLLEEN, stop. Your photos took my breath away! You look SO good! Maybe one of my new favorite photos of you! You’re gorgeous.
I just cannot get over your talent and creativity, Colleen. I went to a show with my son because he's followed you for a long time. After our second show and the meet and greet, now I'm following your vlogs and watching Miranda videos on my own. Now my husband and mom even get a kick out of you! I have a feeling all 4 of us will be at the next Florida show! LOL
I loved how, as yourself, walking the carpet you were smiling and like socially anxious and BEAUTIFUL DRESS BTW. Then as Miranda you stayed confident and in character and I LOVED IT 😂 YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON COLLEEN
I’m sooo excited to see you on tour 🥰🥰. I just bought a meet and greet ticket for Memphis on April 1st
Recently I saw a picture of myself from 7 years ago and thought beautiful- and look at me. I can't believe how critical I was of myself back then. I looked at your orange carpet pics and could see you- seeing you and all the things you may not like. But I just want to say beautiful. You looked so lovely and I hope in the next 7-10 years you look back and have a similar experience 💚
Colleen you looked beautiful! I love how one day you're at an awards show and then the next you're sitting in the floor folding clothes. Keepin it real! Love you!!!
Can we discuss how good both Erik and Colleen looked at the awards??
Like DAMN Y'ALL ARE SOME HOT TAMALES
Yes!!!!
Exactly!! In my opinion she was the best looking one there but I might be biased
Colleen is so cute and awkward on the carpet, Miranda comes out and rocks it I'm dying! The Ballinger's outfits were so cute too. I was petrified of labor, still am even though I went through it. There are so many things that can happen its scary. So thankful everything went well for you because Wes and Maisy are so cute and fun to watch.
Colleen you are gorgeous everyday, but especially beautiful in that pink dress! So cool to see you at the Kids Choice Awards!
im so in LOVE ON HOW SHES A GREAT MOTHER BUT STILLPOST THESE VIDEOS FOR US TO WATCH AND ENJOY I LOVE U COLLEEN WERE BOTH MOMMYS AND WE STILL PUSH THROUGH THE TOUGH TIMES 🤗🤗

i always get so excited when you post! definitely my comfort youtuber, same w alisha marie
Colleeeeen!!! That pink dress and your bangs with ponytail OMG 😍 ✨ 💕 You are STUNNING!!
Hi Colleen!!
Tortilla talk question.. as a mom of two we talk about being burnt out from taking care of a newborn & babies from feedings and sleepless nights etc, I was wondering if Erik has felt over stimulated or burnt out? I feel like you never hear about dads feeling the same as moms. What does Erik like to do to “reset” or if he just needs 10 minutes.
Love you!
you looked absolutely stunning !! 💞 i always look forward to you posting. i love you so much
lmao i screamed when gus showed up on the stairs 5:26 😂😂😂
Jelly Cat are THE BEST stuffed animals!!! My favorite stuffed animal is a pig I've had since 2002 and it's still in fantastic condition despite all the love. Buy the entire Jelly Cat stock for Maisy, she deserves it!!!
I live for her cats on the stairs watching her chat w us!! Oh how they love their mommy!!
Aww Colleen! You look stunning! And also very happy 😍Lots of love!
I have meet and greet tickets for your Thursday show in Durham, NC and I could not be more excited!!! I have watched you for at least 9 years and went to your show in New Haven in August and I can't wait to actually meet you in 2 days! :)
I Love Colleen’s bangs with the ponytail, she’s serving
I’m going to your Charlotte show and I can’t wait to see you perform! This is my first ever concert/show and I just want to thank you for being someone I can watch everyday!❤️
I had a similar birthing experience with my son, cord was coming first and am so grateful for c-sections for this reason and loved the experience. We were lucky I wasn't in active labour so everything was alot calmer and had time to plan an elective c-section
Colleen, thank you for being you. 💗 I can relate to your mental and emotional states so incredibly much. I am glad that you got the opportunity to go to the Kids Choice Awards! 💞 And my entire family has been obsessed with Jelly Cat stuffed animals for ages! It is best to order from their online store (even though it is in the UK) because toy stores in the States tend to inflate the prices. They also have an Amuseables line that makes really fun seasonal stuffed animals, fruits, veg, flowers, succulents, cacti, etc.
hey colleen! i realized i am starting to struggle with picking at my skin(specifically my scalp) when i am stressed, do you know anyways to stop the picking before it gets worse?
A lot of times when she shows Wesley he's w- sitting. We were always taught this wasn't good for a toddlers hips, commenting in the hopes that Colleen sees this or another comment like it.
YOU LOOKED STUNNING OMG BEAUTIFUL AND THE PONYTAIL WITH BANGS I LOOVEEE SLAYY
Omg my social anxiety could never! 😂 I completely understand how you felt! Even though I have never been in any type of environment like that.
I work at a store that sells Jellycat stuffed animals and they have ladybug and worm ones, and I always think of the twins when I see them!
So cute!!
Colleen!!! You looked so beautiful in your pink dress. I loved it!!! Perfect!
I loved ur hair and outfit! You looked so pretty and I loved that u walked down the red carpet as Miranda as well😂
YES!!! I LOVE that you got to walk as Miranda too!!! Haha that was GREAT! & so glad your family got to come too!
Colleen you looked BEAUTIFUL with your hair up. Like I thought it looked so incredible so the fact that you thought it didn't look good, is bonkers because I thought it was STUNNING.
I am going to be at the Charlotte ,NC show and I’m so excited!!
That purse is so cute!!!!!
You looked beautiful on the red carpet
You look SO GORGEOUS in your pink dress queen love it so much ❤
Awww love seeing Maisy with her duck toys and cuddles makes me smile so precious ❤
My brother actually had a cord prolapse, it caused him to have cerebral palsy. He lived 9 years where he couldn’t walk or talk (only said a couple of words once). He’s in heaven now❤ I’m so happy that you have baby Wesley! He is so perfect❤️❤️
You looked so beautiful 🤩🤩 I loved your dress and hair and makeup, you go girl 💪🏻💪🏻
You're red carpet look is so amazing! The dress you chose is so cute and super flattering on you. Also, it can't just be me that thinks your bangs look incredible. Especially the way you styled your hair. ❤❤
jellycat is the absolute best stuffed animal brand!!! i have multiple elephants from them. very much recommend, maisy has great taste xxx
Tortilla Talk Question!
We’re expecting another baby in a month, I’m nervous about settling into a sleep schedule with a baby and toddler. Can you talk about how you do a sleep schedule with Wesley, Maisy, and Flynn? I’ve seen such an uptick in sleep training and sleep methods but we’ve always just lived on the edge with no set schedule or anything I guess 😂 I’m curious if you guys are the same way or if you have a method?
You only talked about it for a minute, but I thought you looked STUNNING as yourself on the carpet! I LOVE how you did your hair and make up and you looked so beautiful in that pink dress! The whole ensemble was perfect 💕
Your KCA photos are literally STUNNING 😭
OH MY GAHHHHH You looked so beautiful!!! Pink is your color!! Also love the bangs styled that way ❤😍👌🏼
I have been watching your videos since you started TH-cam and I absolutely adore everything you do and who you are as a person you are your own magic and it is beautiful. You look so stunning on the red carpet. Oh my God I literally I am gagged and gooped for the gods. Also, you kinda look like the girl from the show Dead to me on Netflix. Sooo goood. I think they stole some of your personality for that character lol ❤ lots of love wait I had to add how cool it is to see Miranda on the red carpet while everyone is looking glamorous and you do it with so much confidence we love that 😆💝✨
I love the fact that she wanted to walk down the red carpet as Miranda. Yassss
Loved Your Pink Dress Colleen... Maranda's Sparkles Loved It❤
You looked so good as yourself. The bangs look really good on you! Gives you a youthful look. It's giving Anne Hathaway too
i love the cats always creepin on the stairs behind you. i cant not focus on it 😂❤️
You looked beautiful posing with your pink dress. Loved how you combined all your outfit. 💓
