I completely missed this trend too!! 😮 I love what you've done with each drawing and the black backgrounds work so well. I've added a couple of drawings to the hashtag 🥰
Thank you! I am 100% doing that snowflake queen. I watched the video where you created her and loved it. I was going to try something similar in the Winter, but I can't pass up this opportunity to do it right now. Hahaha.
I legit saw a bowl of exploding pasta but then you said jellyfish and that probably makes more sense... I also started stomping the yard when that highlight song played ngl. I really love what you did with these, probably my favorite reverse coloring video!
The mushroom drawing was so original and you did a fantastic job with all the fine lines/shading! Congratulations on the 2k subs. You deserve each and every one plus many more! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us 🖌🍄
Never really got into this “trend” because the Color’s are too obviously set to look like flowers or other objects but I do make my own reverse art by soaking watercolor paper in water then dropping color onto it, adding salt or alcohol etc, waiting for it to dry and then picking out monsters, animals or other things I can see in the Color’s. Quite an exercise for your imagination. Love what you came up with for the pages that were picked.
Thank you! Yeah, having seen what the book has to offer, it makes so much more sense to do the DIY version. Still get the same "brain exercise" for free. Hahaha.
YAY! Bonus videos are awesome. 😉I love this series already.😉 😊👍 When this particular trend started... I put that reverse colouring book on my wish list.... since then, I've removed it, and put it back on, several times.... On the one hand, this kind of thing is very me.... I do it all the time..... I see "Friendly Alien Critters" (and other things) in floor tiles, patterns, clouds, etc..... and it's one of my favourite things to do.... but... at the same time.... I don't know if that particular book is "for me".... I keep going back and forth, on whether or not I would enjoy this. And I agree about the florals, I prefer variety, too. Anyway, I have so many projects to finish.... that I don't think I need to add another one.... at least not for now. Anyway, I love the pages you did. LOVE the jelly fish and mushrooms! And the fruit page is beautiful! (not cheating in my opinion). 😃👍 And, the draw me Monet sounds like a fun series too.... (I don't know if I'll have a chance to make a drawing for you to creepify..... in time.... but I want to).
Honestly, I think getting the actual book is not necessary. Anyone can splatter some paint on a page and then like you said - go through and spot the little critters. It's totally free and you still get to "exercise" your brain in the same way. As for the "creepify" series, I expect it will be ongoing, I already know I won't be able to do everything submitted just today... so if and when you have time, just add it whenever.💕
Love the mushrooms, the fruit was so colourful and beautiful, with the jellyfish I saw a piping hot bowl of food until you flipped the page. I wish I could enter with drawings but my art I create with a crochet hook, I love working with yarn and creating my ideas on the different amigurumi’s I make, like Cody’s purple giraffe for instance lol 😊
Well there's definitely no rule that you can't submit a picture of a crotchet creature and I could maybe creepify that. I don't discriminate based on medium. Hahaha.
When you first showed the jellyfish in the book, I actually saw a bowl of hot soup. I never really understood this trend but I love what you did with the pages.
It's very interesting what things just catch on with so many people. I liked the brain challenge, but 100% prefer regular coloring and would never go to the next person and say "you have to try this!" 🤷♀️
I've never heard of this trend but I like to throw color splotches in my sketchbook and find the images with ink to clear art block. This looks right up my alley, I'll have to get it ❤❤
Oh definitely. I will say that I think the book is popular because of the old trend and you could just as easily do it yourself the way you describe for free. It's the same thing.
I'm really glad you did this one. I have this book and have one page done and filmed but I haven't gotten around to doing anything with it so I'm behind on art trends too. Its why i like watching your videos not to copy but to motivate me to get inspiration flowing. The black pages can be done with colored fineliners or even poscas. Have seen mira byler use art x pens on hers and it never occurred to me to use color until that. So I look forward to seeing you do more. There are so many art trends like blind drawing, or 1 min 10min vs 1 hr drawing, the 3 color challenge, one color challenge, the draw this in your style and more. So many fun things that i too want to try but life gets in the way. I clearly thought the girl parts page was wallpaper 😅 lol I would have never seen it that way and that's what is so fun about this book. Some squiggles Zen tangles florals are obvious but not everyone sees the same things. There are several reverse coloring books to try and Chloe rose art made her own with watercolor.
😂 We all see things so differently. Yeah, having done this book, I would totally tell people to just do the DIY version for free. Still get the same "brain exercise."
Reverse coloring is totally not for me, but you made the best pages I've ever seen. I looooove mushrooms! I'm gonna apply my art this weekend in insta too
Thanks so much! I agree. I would choose regular coloring over reverse 100%. That being said, fun brain challenge for once in a while. Thanks for submitting your art too 💕
Awesome job. I hv completed this book n loved it. Even the flower pages I was able to put other things in. Ie animals.. I used it like a colourful cloud watching exercise n seeing what different forms I can find within the colour blobs
Congratulations on 2K. Loving the random bonus videos, good way to shack things up and get an idea for potential playlist options. Also LOOOOOOVE the idea of redrawing others art in you style. Will be adding hashtag to a piece or two (you know options 🙃). For the flowers try making them creepy. I know one person who made them fingers, or you could draw a skull in the center of the flower, idk just some thoughts.
Thanks! The bonus videos are a nice change up, but there will definitely be weeks where I can't swing it (I say as I'm currently behind on a bonus video for this week. Hahaha.) Can't wait to see what you submit!
Congratulations on getting 2000 subscribers, you deserve too have 2million at least. I love your pages, they are so unique. The fruit one is my favourite
I literally just subbed from the first page of the jellyfish... like holy smokes ma'am you're talented I would've never thought of the fruits. I am in the process of ordering that book so I came to see what others are doing and you just blew me away 🎉 awesome
I love that! For Landon at least, Phoebe still doesn't really draw anything distinguishable, just scribbles. But I plan on sticking around for a looooong time, so I could definitely rope her in once she's doing her own little pieces.
Congrats on 2k subs! The mushroom page turned out great! I was looking at that page and all I could see were trees I would have never thought to make them into mushrooms lol
Ima be honest, that Jellyfish looked like a piping hot bowl of soup to me in a neat little bowl. Or maybe I just watched when I was hungry. The fruits were absolutely my favorite. I get the sentiment about all the flowers though. I'd attempt to turn them into carnivorous/ horror-themed plants out of SPITE.😂
Thank you! I think my hang up with the florals is that they are one of my favorite things to color... but outlining, not so much. So if it was a regular coloring book with lots of florals, I think I'd be really excited.
Informative video, I am happy I found you and it. I just saw this coloring book at my local art store and looking at it made me nervous. Not sure if it had that effect on anyone else. But now, watching you instruct and show how to simplify the pages I may pick it up next time at the store. Your artwork touch to all 3 pages was fantastic!! I love the fruit best; mushrooms are a close second. I'll be watching you. Nikki
@@artwithashleighmonet I think it's because you will be drawing and talking and I have literally thought the same things you say... Or picture the same place you Actually chose to draw .. I guess I just have the same style. Wish I could create the way you do .

I agree. It feels like a waste of money. You could just splatter some paint on a page and do this for free. And I'd definitely choose classic coloring over it any day.
@@artwithashleighmonet I’m not a splatter paint kind of person. I’m imagination color in kinda girl. After a head injury and 4 month concussion, my previous great skill with that has disappeared and no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get it back. But I won’t give up on working at it. Ever.
