Anxiety for someone else's sake is a first world problem that I find pathetic. Imagine having anxiety even when you know your "brother" is going to demolish whoever they fight, and even if it goes the distance, the judges will just give it to his "brothers" because it's a rigged sport.

I coached a little league baseball team a few years ago. A bunch of 11-12 year olds, that was the most stressful and fun thing I’ve ever been apart of. Felt like we were in a real run to the World Series 😂
And those are probably the most stressful years to coach little league too, because that's a big step up where they're starting to play more real baseball, with base running and more complex pitching. Plus the boys are becoming men and have all the hormones and crap.
@ the things they would say it sounded like a true unhinged Chael presser. I was like “did I say stuff like this growing up?” Which I probably did but it was truly so much fun while also being so damn stressful. I would do it 100x over. @@loganpinner5212 yea there were 2 brothers at my HS whose dad was a minor league player, so he was training them to be hall of famers from the time they were toddlers, he made them both hit left handed even though the were natural righties. And they were great, all state, full scholarships, all that, 2 of the best players I ever saw, they could do everything. But they both quit in college, they got burnt out. It was a job to them, not a game. And likewise to you too, lol, the internet is a crazy place, especially within the MMA community.
I have no doubt that Khabib brings relentless dad energy to every practice because he can't help but to honor his father by emulating him whether he enjoys it or not. 🐻
I think the attention directed at him is partly what he doesn't enjoy anymore about the fight camps and cornering. In a russian interview Islam said Khabib wanted to join the camp for the last week of conditioning leg of their fight prep in the usual high altitude facility in Russia but once Islam informed him there were probably 500 people there currently (housed in the compound and training.. the place provides boarding for athletes too).. Khabib changed his mind and decided to not go there anymore. We can see in released footages of him cornering for his brothers, he does have that passion for coaching and wants to be there to support them. And even if he's not physically there his team knows for sure he's watching intently wherever he is at that moment.. even sending messages to their corner and reacting prompltly to the result of the match (much like his dad used to do back when he was head coach of team). So it's most likely not the coaching and competition that he dislikes.
He doesn't like watching them fight because he's worried about them. I think he's said as much. It's like, at least for me, if I watch others fight my heart is beating out of my chest, but if I fight I feel calm. He knows he is going to win and he's not as sure about the others.
It's definitely the stress of watching his guys fight with their legacy on the line each time, him and his father's legacy, and that Dagestani pride. He's been particularly stressing about January 18 when he's cornering 3 fights in one night. Can't remember where I saw him saying something along the lines of "I could fight 3 times in one night no problem but we'll see if I can survive Jan 18." And remember that video of him stress-choking Umar in the corner during one of Usman's fights 😂
What he respects about their team has everything to do with their religion. This is Islam. Brotherhood & Integrity are above selfish interests. We are happy with kHabib and his team as representatives of our beautiful religion.
